Nathan is fabulous! We brought our puppy for training when she was 9 weeks for 40 day VIP training. She can walk her of lease at Hendry’s Beach with confidence. My puppy can walk beside me. She comes, heels, and sits when I cue her. Nathan’s philosophy is to teach my puppy from the start before unwanted behaviior develops. Nathan taught me how to lead my puppy. He works with both dog and owner. Nathan is personable and accessible for questions and private training. I should have used him to train our first dog. If you have a new dog in your family, Nathan is a must. I recommend him 100%!

As first-time dog owners, bringing home an 8-week-old puppy was exciting but also completely overwhelming. We initially relied on the shelter's description of our puppy as a Chihuahua/Cattle Dog mix, but Nathan quickly recognized that he was much more likely a Cattle Dog/Pit Bull mix and adjusted his training approach accordingly. That early insight made a huge difference. Nathan guided us through every stage of our puppy's first year and, in many ways, trained us just as much as he trained our dog. Thanks to his patience, his incredible ability to connect with and build trust with dogs, and his clear, practical guidance for owners, we now have a dog who is well-behaved and confident in the world. What helped us most during those early months were Nathan's weekly visits and his week-by-week breakdown of skills and goals. We were definitely in over our heads, and he gave us the tools and confidence we needed to succeed. We completed the Ultimate Puppy Training – 40 Days of VIP Training package and cannot recommend it highly enough. Nathan also worked closely with our 10-year-old daughter, teaching her how to properly walk and handle a puppy, which meant a lot to our family. Our dog now attends Nathan Woods Dog Club, which has been wonderful for both socialization and maintaining consistency with training and expectations. Nathan is organized, responsive, supportive, and genuinely invested in the success of both the dogs and their owners. We recommend him to everyone we know, especially first-time dog owners.

When my sweet Aussie girl turned 3 yrs old she became aggressive with some dogs. Nathan explained that that’s when a herding dog’s instincts kick in & they can become “Bossy”. He worked with her 4 days a week for 3 months at his very clean, safely managed facility & then showed me what to do to continue her progress at Shoreline Park & Douglas Preserve. Without a doubt Nathan is a dog whisperer & incredibly knowledgeable. Am so grateful he took the” Bossy out of my Aussie”.
