Advanced obedience is offered through the 12-week boot camp. The course includes field trips into public places, off-leash heeling, off-leash recall (long distance), down from a distance, and a high level consistency to commands even under distraction.
Puppy boot camp includes socialization with other friendly dogs, permanent command associations, on-leash and off-leash control, leash manners, proper etiquette with humans, and life shaping experiences to develop an ideal canine companion.
Foundation obedience training is the building block for dogs to have a better life. We spend several weeks going through hundreds of repetitions of each obedience command building permanent command associations, and precision responses to each exercise. Our team of professionals do it right. :)
Group obedience teaches dogs how to respond to command in the presence of other dogs, which can be a big competing motivator. Responding to commands independently teaches command discrimination, it heightens the focus on the handler, and teaches dogs to work as a team.

Inboard dog training allows you to hire a reputable dog trainer, even if the dog trainer is not in your area. Dogs come from all over the country, including internationally, when dog owners are unable to find good dog trainers in their area, or simply are seeking the best dog boot camp available.

What age can you enroll a puppy into puppy boot camp?
4-months of age or older. While you can enroll a puppy later on in life, it is ideal to enroll while the puppy is young, impressionable, and still learning social skills. The most ideal age to enroll a puppy into puppy boot camp is between 4-6 months of age.

Hello All I was watching a video by Neumans K-9 Academy and was impressed. I am getting a Shiloh Shepherd in July but live in a Detroit suburb and cannot take my dog to Neumans. Is there a dog academy in my area that can produce the same results?
Congratulations on your soon-to-be new member of the family. Unfortunately, we do not know of any dog boot camps in your area. Here at the Academy, we do receive dogs from all over the country for our course. If you would like to discuss having your dog come to our camp, please feel welcome to contact us direct. We are happy to help guide you through the process or even accommodate the transport right to your front door.

If you are set in Neumans, they have transported/driven before to pick up dogs in other states as well had dogs flown to MN.

We knew we needed to ensure our puppy was well-trained from the start, and Neuman Academy made that possible. The 8-week camp was a fantastic experience and worth every penny. Our puppy came home incredibly well-behaved, and thanks to the thorough owner training on graduation day, we felt fully prepared to keep up the progress at home. A huge thank you to Summer and Josiah, and a special shout-out to Mya! Since graduation, we’ve used their boarding service several times. It is the only place we’ll use now. Knowing our dog is in good hands and that their training is being reinforced while we’re away is priceless. I cannot recommend them highly enough!
Great staff and professional training.
We booked our dog for an 8 week puppy camp. As first-time dog owners, we weren't sure what to expect. We had several questions and they were very responsive, both to email and phone questions. Everyone was professional, knowledgeable, and helpful with their responses. We felt very comfortable that our dog was in great hands!

My 5 month old pudelpointer, Buddy, went to Neuman K9 Academy 12 week training program. Pudelpointers are a hunting breed. Very energetic and wanting to "do" something, always ready to please. But the energy (and there is lots of it) needs direction and purpose. The Academy did just that! It took a wildly out of control land shark and taught him to be a well mannered puppy. Buddy stopped all biting, nipping, mouthing. He goes to place and stays for extended times. So helpful when preparing food for the family. He waits at doors and doesn't go through until told so. He waits in kennel with door open and doesn't come out until told so. He no longer barks in kennel. That's such a blessing! He will sit, down and stay. Heel is good but being a hunting type breed on the trail He gets distracted and looks around. But the Academy taught "me" how to sit or down with Buddy during that distraction and wait until he can focus on me again. It can take awhile of waiting at times. And I mean a long while, but as the Academy told me, if I'm patient and wait it out, Buddy will learn. The training at the Academy not only helps the dog/puppy but the handler/owner as well. The staff from the first call through to the trainers are so kind and helpful. I really don't think I could say enough good, it's an amazing experience for the dog and the family. I signed up for the platinum membership that is offered as it has so many perks if your going to board or continue with training or refreshers in training. Please check them out.
