They have a great way of explaining how they do things and help you continue to improve your dogs behavior even after the training camp. I've also used them for boarding. They always have great communication and make sure Lenny is well taken care of. Highly Recommend!!

Advanced obedience is offered through the 12-week boot camp. The course includes field trips into public places, off-leash heeling, off-leash recall (long distance), down from a distance, and a high level consistency to commands even under distraction.
Puppy boot camp includes socialization with other friendly dogs, permanent command associations, on-leash and off-leash control, leash manners, proper etiquette with humans, and life shaping experiences to develop an ideal canine companion.
Foundation obedience training is the building block for dogs to have a better life. We spend several weeks going through hundreds of repetitions of each obedience command building permanent command associations, and precision responses to each exercise. Our team of professionals do it right. :)
Group obedience teaches dogs how to respond to command in the presence of other dogs, which can be a big competing motivator. Responding to commands independently teaches command discrimination, it heightens the focus on the handler, and teaches dogs to work as a team.

What age can you enroll a puppy into puppy boot camp?
4-months of age or older. While you can enroll a puppy later on in life, it is ideal to enroll while the puppy is young, impressionable, and still learning social skills. The most ideal age to enroll a puppy into puppy boot camp is between 4-6 months of age.

Hello All I was watching a video by Neumans K-9 Academy and was impressed. I am getting a Shiloh Shepherd in July but live in a Detroit suburb and cannot take my dog to Neumans. Is there a dog academy in my area that can produce the same results?
Congratulations on your soon-to-be new member of the family. Unfortunately, we do not know of any dog boot camps in your area. Here at the Academy, we do receive dogs from all over the country for our course. If you would like to discuss having your dog come to our camp, please feel welcome to contact us direct. I don't know what to say except a massively huge THANK YOU to Neuman K-9 Academy! Our family has never had a dog before and we were really naive about the work involved in getting a puppy. We have an English Cream Golden Retriever who is absolutely adorable, but we had no idea how to train a puppy or how to read her signals. The result was not good at all. I actually choose to block those moments from my memory! :). We tried an in-home trainer who would come for an hour, show us how to train the puppy on one or two commands and then leave. We would work on it every day and while we may have gotten the puppy to respond on that one specific command, we couldn't get it to translate to other behaviors. The following week we'd discover that we were doing it all wrong. These are really professional trainers that impressed me, but one visit a week to train US how to train wasn't getting us anywhere. We were exhausted and our kids were starting to avoid being around the puppy. That's when we researched and found Neuman. From the registration to the drop off to the communication during and after her training - nothing but professionalism and care. Turns out our puppy had a bladder infection (that may have contributed to some of her behaviors), and Neuman took great care of her, bringing her to the vet, getting her antibiotics and keeping us involved all along. This didn't seem to impede her progress during the 8 weeks she was there. She came back a changed dog that has since become a real member of our family. Do we follow all the commands consistently? Admittedly no. But we know how to communicate now and are SO enjoying being with her. Walks are enjoyable, and her excitement around us is fun and not exhausting. The only real challenge now is the amount of dog fur around our house and on our clothes. But I don't think Neuman can help us with that. :). Every penny well spent and we'd highly recommend Neuman.

My dog, BB went as a wild hound and came back a well behaved dog. The regular communication from Neuman was very helpful. Would recommended without hesitation.
We are big fans! Scheduling is super easy and we love the opportunity for our dog to get a “ Refresher course” On his training a few times a year while we are out of town. Plus, the extra services are awesome! Our dog comes back, clean, happy, and obedient!
