My dog came home with terrible diarrhea and a skin infection. They think nothing of giving your pet cheap garbage outside It's normal diet. We will never go back.
Business response
Hello Lisa. You dropped your dog Nala off on November 12th and picked her up on November 15th. Upon drop off, you were asked if your dog had any allergies, in which you replied "no". We marked N/A on Nala's boarding card for allergies because of that. We also had you read and sign our boarding agreement, which advises that we may use our discretion when it comes to your pet's stress levels, and reconfirmed verbally that this includes adding canned food or broth should your dog not eat in our care. Nala had skipped three meals, and on the fourth meal, we added a HIGH QUALITY canned food as a mix in to her normal diet. She was given 1/4 of a can for two meals (half a can total) until she was eating without it. We do not have "cheap garbage" canned food on hand to feed pets. As we told you over the phone, we use Purina Pro Plan, which is a formula made by veterinary nutritionists. We also double checked the boarding card for allergies before we mixed in a small amount of food. It should also be noted that Nala's poor skin condition was brought up to you upon drop off by our staff. We have it on security camera that our staff asked if her skin was normal, in which you replied that it was. Upon pickup, there was nothing noted on your end about anything out of the ordinary with her skin. On November 17th, the owner of the facility spoke with you over the phone. You alleged that your dog had extreme allergies to Red Dye #4 and that is why she was having diarrhea. I (being the owner of NCC) went back and read you the ingredients on the food Nala was given. There was no Red Dye of any sort, and you confirmed on the phone that she was able to eat those ingredients. You were also reminded that you specifically said your dog did not have any allergies upon drop off, and this is why we ask those questions. Regardless, I agreed to pay for treatment if you were able to bring me a veterinary diagnosis of the alleged skin condition and veterinary treatment for the diarrhea. It's been three weeks and I have not seen a vet report, vet bill, or any type of proof other than a phone call from you that your dog suffered an infection and it has been treated. We have taken every step to address your concerns, but without veterinary confirmation of diagnosis or treatment, there is nothing more we can do.
