North Star K9 Training

North Star K9 training is truly the best place for your beloved puppy! I always see them as puppies, no matter their age. The trainer we had was Cheryl, and she’s absolutely amazing! She quickly bonded with Mocha, our puppy, on the first day and helped her relax and feel at ease. Cheryl created a tailored plan for Mocha and showed us how to use various techniques to help her learn the commands quickly. She always provided a detailed summary of what we achieved during our private sessions and the homework we had for the week afterward. It was a real pleasure to meet and get to know Cheryl. She’s incredibly patient and compassionate, working with your puppy in a way that suits their unique learning style. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach here. She also made training fun for Mocha and us. I can’t recommend North Star K9 Training enough; it’s worth every penny. I’d give it a 1,000-star rating if I could!

Shannon is truly an amazing individual. We knew from the moment we picked up our 10 week old German shepherd puppy, that we would want him to train with Shannon. She completely went above and beyond our expectations for his 2 week adventure camp. She focused on the skills he would need to have his best life with our family. We couldn’t be more proud of the work she put in with him (even in the middle of a heat wave). When watching her say goodbye to him after his 2 week camp, I got teary eyed because you could really tell how much she loved our boy. We will never be able to thank her enough for helping us help him have the best life!

Ember completed a two week adventure camp with Cheryl and we could not have had a better experience! Ember has had some previous training, but needed some work to build on her foundations as I had slacking a bit. I learned so much from Cheryl about my dog and the best ways to read her and communicate with her to help her feel safe and protected so she can continue living her best life and do so safely. Cheryl took lots of pictures and videos of what they were doing each day so I could follow along and it really helped with missing my girl as well as seeing how to practice the things she was working on. I still go back and watch these videos if I need a refresher on anything. Ember returned home to me with a stronger foundation in obedience as well as some new tricks I was interested in her learning and I have been able to solidify these even more and build on her foundation after learning from Cheryl and our bond continues to get stronger! I also really appreciate the continued support in our journey and the access to pack walks even now that we have completed our program. I would absolutely recommend this wonderful group for all your dog training needs!
