Lisa's puppy classes are the best I have ever attended, after more than 35 years in dogs. Her classes are designed to shape well behaved, confident companions, and ensure dogs will be good citizens in the world. She has a calm and patient demeanor, and is able to come craft unique and strategic ideas for behavior shaping and modification, and even therapeutic exercises for special needs canines. Highly recommend.

We can't say enough about Lisa. We started out with in home private training sessions when our two sibling labs were puppies. They are now 2 and we just completed 2 group sessions. From getting them to be calm in a group to coming when called has been very rewarding. We have experienced an amazing transformation in the obedience of our dogs.. The highlight of the training has been getting them to come when called. One of our labs got out of our gate and she was completely out of sight we did what Lisa taught us and called and she came running back as fast as we have ever seen her run..The socialization in the classes has been very good for our dogs. She is extremely knowledgeable and infinitely patient. Lisa is a wonderful trainer and you can tell she really loves what she does. She is a wonderful person too!! We highly recommend her to train your doggies.

If I had known about Lisa Lucas’ Total Recall class years ago, my previous dog might not have been hit by a car. That dog survived, but it was traumatic. Lisa’s Total Recall class teaches a dog owner how to get their dog to come, without a second thought, in case of an emergency. I have already used the technique several times when one or both of my dogs got loose. For instance, recently we were at an outdoor restaurant, a chair tipped over, the dogs got scared, and took off across a parking lot. I yelled our emergency word, and just like that both dogs turned around and came back to me. Their whole demeanor changed from fear to joy. Whoo. Meanwhile, Lisa’s Head Start class is great, too. I am now walking two medium-sized dogs without any problem. Lisa offers helpful tips to encourage dogs to stop pulling. Finally, Lisa asks everyone how the training is going, every week, and she addresses individual problems.
