Northfield Dog Training

Frankie and I just finished the FCOOL 1-18 classes, and I can't say enough good things about them. The videos made training so clear, with a reference to look back on if needed. Our in-person class was a good way to hone up on our skills, technique from the videos. Adele, our instructor is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain each step. I would recommend this class to anyone who is interested in dog training.

We have tried quite a few training classes over the years with our dogs and Adele is probably the best of all of them! She is so organized and has so much experience that she manages to address all the issues we could possibly have. Our older dog is 2 and has had 2 basic manner classes with another instructor and just didn’t do that well. Our puppy is 4-5 months old and is in class with Adele and although he is easier to train, she happens to address all the problems with our 2 year old as we go through the course. Her class is the BEST, and we especially like the videos she provides for every item of training! I can watch and rewatch the lessons I have trouble with. These are not lazily compiled videos of the class, but individual videos of Adele with one of her dogs showing us how to train them. They are excellent! Also the syllabus and handouts (all conveniently organized online) are super helpful). I have been doing the homework with both dogs and our 2 year old is finally learning! Well, actually I (it’s me, I’m the problem), am finally learning how to help a less trainable dog. I cannot recommend her classes enough! Adele is calm, kind, and patient & we are a happier family for it.

I have trained three dogs over the years with Adele and her staff. Adele is one of the best teachers I've had. She can break down any move into tiny component parts which allow one to learn and experience success to build upon. She is a keen observer, and creative problem-solver. Her facility is clean and safe. Everyone is made aware of safety issues, and monitored to keep dogs from any difficult interactions. The other trainers she hires have also been very good, and allow Northfield to offer a variety of classes from the expected obedience, etc., to agility for fun (not only competition), tricks, field training, etc. I can't recommend Northfield highly enough!
