Off Leash K9 Training Central Florida

A colleague volunteers for a dog rescue in the area, and she posted a pic of a 4-month old lab found abandoned off of the highway. The pup was scheduled to be euthanized the following day, so I asked to hold him until I could pick him up. He has the friendliest personality, no aggression in him whatsoever, but being a lab and a puppy, he just wanted to play and jump on anyone he came in contact with. The biggest obstacle was when my dog would escape from the backyard. He's mostly indoors, but when he would go out to play or relieve himself and if someone inadvertently opened the gate, Pololi would bolt. Calling him to return was useless, and I spent several times trying to retrieve him in the neighborhood. He's the most loving dog, but he just considered escaping to be play time. I called the number for Off Leash K9 and was put in contact with Matt Ray. Matt is the ultimate Dog Whisperer, and I knew when I met him that he would have a good rapport with my dog, and that he would be in the best of care. Matt regularly sent videos of my pup Pololi's progress, and I was blown away at what he accomplished in a short time. After the 2-week session with Matt at his house, I picked up my boy and he was a new dog! I met trainer Matt at a location where he would guide me through hands on practices with Pololi. I could not believe the progress that he had made. Above all, my foremost concern with my new pup was that he may inadvertently get hit by a car if he escaped again. I can get his attention now even when he gets distracted. And he likes being lauded when he behaves. There are areas and situations where he needs extra reinforcement, but I don't worry anymore about him taking off. And, post training, it doesn't mean that I still spoil the heck out of him!

Offleash K9 totally exceeded my expectations. I had a hyper dog who lacked discipline and I lacked the time to develop a strong base to build on. Before, my girlfriend was too scared to take out the dog by herself because he weighs almost 100lbs. Now she takes him out whenever she wants with full confidence.
