It’s taken me a while to find the right words. Hear me when I say this: Anybody can give you or your dog obedience training, and Mike will — but more importantly, he will instill a confidence in you that’ll have you feeling like you could teach your dog to fly a Boeing 747 by the end of it. Unfortunately, in 2023 my dog Layla, a 5yo boxer, had been bit during a meeting with another dog that belonged to a good friend, and I have been scared out of my mind to take her around other dogs or even on a walk through the neighborhood ever since then. While away on Christmas vacation this past year, I got a call from the dog sitter that somebody had to come and take Layla because there had been an incident with another dog. I was terrified, I was anxious, I was panicked, I was sad, I was full of questions, I didn’t know what to think or what to do. Even though my vacation had just started, I couldn’t get home soon enough to see my girl, and to figure out what the hell I was supposed to do next. I got home and called just about every trainer in the Green Bay area, leaving voicemails in tears about what had happened with my dog and not knowing what my next move was to help her, but I knew we were well overdue for some obedience training. Within a minute I knew from the call with Mike that he was our guy. Not to mention after making the decision and paying for the 4 week obedience training, a close family friend mentioned that she took her dogs to Mike in the past and had great success. Yes I was excited, but honestly I was more anxious than I was excited. My mind was racing with endless possibilities of what could go wrong for all of the days leading up to day one. Mike could see it right away how anxious and tense I was. There wasn’t a single week in our four weeks of training that I wasn’t doubting myself, my dog, and even sometimes the training we were getting. Each week, without fail, Mike made all my worries feel like nonsense, and assured me that my dog and I had the tools for success, I just needed to have more faith in myself and in my dog. I’m afraid that had I chosen another trainer for us, we would’ve never seen the results we are seeing now. I told Mike on the last day of training and I’m telling whosever reading this review now — as a broke twenty something, I was really nervous about the money I paid being “worth it” in the end and feeling like the training worked. Without a doubt, I would pay double just to be where we are now, feeling the way I do about my relationship to my dog, because Mike’s training was worth every single second. I can’t praise him or his program enough, and he’s got to be one of the greatest teachers I’ve ever had for myself. Truly, I can’t express my gratitude enough. Layla is doing fabulous and listens better than she ever has. And I finally have some peace of mind.

We left our Cane Corso, Achilles, with Mike for a 3-week training program, and I’ll be honest, I was doubtful at first. But when we got him back after those long 3 weeks, I was truly amazed. Mike and Achilles literally brought me to tears. The joy I felt when he ran into the room, when he walked calmly right next to me with zero issues, and when he followed commands from both Mike and myself… it was incredible. I am so proud of the progress my dog made, and so unbelievably thankful for Mike. His knowledge, patience, and genuine love for training dogs and improving their behavior left me speechless. He definitely knows what he’s doing, and he is absolutely worth every penny spent. I’m grateful beyond words. Proud of Achillies for everything he learned but so thankful there are still people out there like Mike. Highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend!
