If you have a reactive dog, Sarah Z is who you need! Our 2-year-old, 90 lb guard/herding dog mix was so reactive we felt like we couldn’t take him anywhere. We’d tried training at the humane society which helped some, but we were still really struggling with the reactivity piece. Sarah does balanced training and it’s exactly what our dog — and honestly, we — needed. She said reactive dogs are her jam, and it’s true. He warmed up to her within a day and now absolutely loves her and her dog Salem. Max has been home for about two weeks and the improvement has been huge. His recall is so much better, and because Sarah taught him that he doesn’t always need to be in guard mode, he can actually relax and trust that we’ve got things under control. We balked at the price for board & train, but they offer a payment plan that makes it much more manageable — plus you get 8 follow-up sessions and free group walks for life! I can’t say enough good things. My only regret is that we waited so long to do it.

We worked with Sarah at off leash for our under confident and reactive dog. When we started training with her, Mack, our goldendoodle could not walk on a leash without being on his hind legs and pulling constantly, he wouldn’t let other dogs near his human mom without getting defensive and he was very vocal as well as lacking any and all confidence. After working with Sarah through the last couple months we now have a dog who knows he can trust us to place him in situations that will not be of harm to him. He knows his commands, can heel off leash confidently and is learning new skills daily!

Laurie was absolutely incredible to work with. I entrusted her with my two Australian Shepherds for two weeks, and the transformation I’ve seen since they’ve come home has been nothing short of amazing. Not only did she spend intentional, quality time with them, but she truly reset their behavior in the best way. I feel so much more confident as an owner, and I can already see how much happier and more balanced my dogs are. I’m beyond grateful for the care, patience, and expertise she poured into them. Sarah was amazing with my corgi! She trained with us through puppy lessons and basic obedience, and the results are amazing. He started off very reactive to people and other dogs, and showed immense progress through consistent training. She also helped me understand so much about body language and communication with him, and explained the reasonings behind his behavior/reactions. We are now both much more confident, have greater communication, and I can trust him to have the freedom to be off leash on certain trails! Sarah made the training lessons fun as well, always had great energy, and my dog was always so happy to see her. She also recommended me to purchase a flirt pole for him since he is a herding breed, and he is absolutely in love with it😂
