I took my 5 months old Toy Poodle Hermès to Ohana K-9 Academy in preparation for a major move across the country. I needed Hermès to be able to get along with other dogs of various sizes as well as to model good behavior. What I got back was so much more. Hermès learned beyond basic commands such as recall on cue when I call him, walking right by my side without pulling, sitting at street corners waiting for my command before crossing, laying quietly next to me during visit with friends at the coffee shops and so much more. The most important thing is that he is confident and very social with other animals and people. I was afraid he wouldn’t get it just in 6-weeks but thanks to Hailey and Alex, he excelled as a puppy. Hermès is now 6.5 months old and I have been getting complements from strangers on the street. I have a very confident and happy puppy that I can take anywhere and even enters his crate willingly for sleep. This week we made our 2,900 mile trip in the car and Hermès did so good. He behaved at the hotels and fuel stops since Alex and Hailey prepared me on what I can expect and how I should guide him. The training sticks since they spent one day a week teaching me how to continue Hermès’ training. I’m very happy with the outcome and highly recommend the programs at Ohana K-9 Academy.

I enrolled my dog Willow (Belgian Malinois) into the 6 week adult Board and Train Program. Willow’s trainer was Andrew and happy with the results is an understatement. The transformation was literally night and day. The experience overall was exceptional and worth every penny! Andrew and I sat down after the first week and I was asked in more detail what I wanted from the program. To be honest, I didn’t have a direct answer. I shared the things i struggled with but I left it all in Andrews hands to unlock the potential I knew my dog had. I can tell you he went above and beyond while Willow was in his care. Each week I noticed a drastic change in Willow’s behavior and by the end of the training it made a complete lifestyle change for not only my dog, but myself. Each day I received updates on Willow’s progress and anytime i had questions, Andrew always kept me in the loop. He has a genuine love and compassion for what he does and it definitely is shown through his work. I can’t thank him and everyone at OhanaK9 enough for doing such an amazing job. I would highly recommend to any and everyone to take their dogs there and experience it for themselves.

We had a great experience with Ohana. We started out with private puppy training with Trainer Alex. Our dog Teepee learned a few things but we could instantly see she needed a more structured and consistent program so we decided to switch her over to 6 week adult board and train with trainer Andrew. Teepee's behaviors consistently got better with each week and she enjoys learning. Not only did she get better but I also got better at handling her as well as giving commands with more confidence. Every single person who we had contact with in the facility or over the phone were extremely nice and always willing to help and answer any questions we had. I will recommend to anyone who needs help training their pups.
