Opportunity Barks provides dog training in Philadelphia and Bucks County using Lifestyle Dog Training, a real-life approach focused on behavior, communication, and everyday function, not just obedience. We offer puppy training, private dog training, reactive dog training, and Board and Train programs designed for real-world results. Clients also have access to Day School in our Philadelphia studio for consistent, hands-on support. Our farm supports Farm Dog® Adventures with transportation from Philadelphia, giving dogs the space, movement, and environment most are missing, so behavior actually carries into daily life. We’re also home to Sport & Social Club, a place to connect and build a real life with your dog.

Do you teach a dog how to get along with other dogs
Drema, We focus the bulk of our work with dogs that may be reactive (bark/lunge) or possibly be dog selective/dog aggressive (a known history or intent to do harm) on creating neutrality around other dogs on leash. Our goal is to help the dog relax, look to the owner for information and depending on the severity of the issue, get walking and recall work in a good place so the dog can function in the real world in a practical way. We look to develop coping skills and resilience, as many of these dogs too are just inexperienced, fearful or anxious. We customize our dog training and behavior modification programs and private training programs or boarding school programs would best address helping a dog get along with other dogs and creating neutrality around dogs. The farm dog program is incredible! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to give their dog some freedom, especially living in the city. OPB has drop off and pickup locations in the city which makes it easy to coordinate with work!

I was often shaking my head with disbelief at what the one-on-one training with Opportunity Barks was able to get my girl Winnie to do when we sought help with her anxiety over vet visits and grooming. They were great about showing me how to reinforce the training at home, so I also feel more confident continuing the process. Leigh was amazing at not only showing us how to elicit the appropriate behavior we sought, but also in explaining the 'why' behind the process.
Puppy Boarding, Two week Boarding School and then a week of boarding - all in his first year - has been wonderful for WalterMellen! Everyone at OpBarks has been fabulous - and helped canine and human immensely. Thank you for all your attention to him while he was "in-house" and beyond! Will (and have) recommended you!
