FirstBarkOpportunity barks and Corrine exceeded our expectations for puppy training, we went in with our main concern being a nippy puppy and came out with a very well trained puppy with tons of skills to continue his training. I would highly recommend this training program !

Opportunity Barks provides dog training in Philadelphia and Bucks County using Lifestyle Dog Training, a real-life approach focused on behavior, communication, and everyday function, not just obedience. Clients also have access to Day School in our Philadelphia studio for consistent, hands-on support. Our farm supports Farm Dog® Adventures with transportation from Philadelphia, giving dogs the space, movement, and environment most are missing, so behavior actually carries into daily life. Do you teach a dog how to get along with other dogs
Drema, We focus the bulk of our work with dogs that may be reactive (bark/lunge) or possibly be dog selective/dog aggressive (a known history or intent to do harm) on creating neutrality around other dogs on leash. Our goal is to help the dog relax, look to the owner for information and depending on the severity of the issue, get walking and recall work in a good place so the dog can function in the real world in a practical way. We look to develop coping skills and resilience, as many of these dogs too are just inexperienced, fearful or anxious. We customize our dog training and behavior modification programs and private training programs or boarding school programs would best address helping a dog get along with other dogs and creating neutrality around dogs. The OPbarks team has been an amazing resource for our puppy, Redford. My husband and I have both had dogs our whole lives but have learned so many new things and love their philosophy. Redford took part in puppy foundations as well as the puppy socials. Puppy foundations gave us a great basis for growing our pup's (as well as our) confidence and trust. The socials were amazing, he especially loved exploring the woods at the Quakertown location! Beyond the classes, the ability to ask questions and the willingness of the team to provide thoughtful answers has been invaluable - the experience has been as much of a learning experience for Red as it has been for us! Looking forward to continuing Redford's journey with the OPbarks team!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Opportunity Barks Behavior & Training in Philadelphia, and I can't express enough how grateful I am for their program and trainers. When I first started, I didn't think my reactive pup would ever be able to interact with other dogs, but OpBarks proved me wrong. We began with private lessons, but my dog wasn't retaining much. The trainer, Ingrid, suggested lowering his fluoxetine dosage, and it made a world of difference. With continued work at home, we made progress, but walks were still a challenge. The OpBarks team helped me navigate my emotions and provided guidance on the best way forward. We ultimately decided that the boarding/training program was the best option for my dog, but the cost seemed overwhelming. Thankfully, my family stepped in to help fund it, and I will forever be grateful. After four weeks, my dog's reactivity is finally manageable. The OpBarks team not only provides training during the program but also equips you with the tools and knowledge to succeed afterward. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Corrine, Ingrid, Leigh, and the entire OpBarks team for helping me give my dog the best life possible. Their dedication and expertise have made a significant impact, and I can't recommend them enough.
