Opportunity Barks provides dog training in Philadelphia and Bucks County using Lifestyle Dog Training, a real-life approach focused on behavior, communication, and everyday function, not just obedience. We offer puppy training, private dog training, reactive dog training, and Board and Train programs designed for real-world results. Clients also have access to Day School in our Philadelphia studio for consistent, hands-on support. Our farm supports Farm Dog® Adventures with transportation from Philadelphia, giving dogs the space, movement, and environment most are missing, so behavior actually carries into daily life. Do you teach a dog how to get along with other dogs
Drema, We focus the bulk of our work with dogs that may be reactive (bark/lunge) or possibly be dog selective/dog aggressive (a known history or intent to do harm) on creating neutrality around other dogs on leash. Our goal is to help the dog relax, look to the owner for information and depending on the severity of the issue, get walking and recall work in a good place so the dog can function in the real world in a practical way. We look to develop coping skills and resilience, as many of these dogs too are just inexperienced, fearful or anxious. We customize our dog training and behavior modification programs and private training programs or boarding school programs would best address helping a dog get along with other dogs and creating neutrality around dogs. Rachael and Dani and all of the caring trainers at Opportunity Barks are excellent to work with - and they are very patient in training Jethro's humans, too. We love OPBarks! Cannot say enough great things about them. Both the Quakertown and Old City locations are amazing. My partner and I enrolled our dog Winnie in drop off day training program in Old City when she was around 4 months old and was an anxious energetic handful. I couldn’t walk her and struggled to even get her from our door to the car without being pulled to the ground. Winnie is a red golden retriever with strong field/hunting lineage. She is very smart but not as food motivated. I also have a muscle condition that causes weakness so training her early was very important to me. Trainers Oli and Ingrid went above and beyond to help us with Winnie and give us the knowledge and the tools we needed at home to succeed. They taught us how to see the world through Winnie’s eyes and how setting clear and consistent boundaries around everyday tasks can help your dog feel less scared and alone in the world. They even worked with us on ways to play with Winnie that would make it easier for me and adjusted accordingly. I just can’t say enough about how great they are. The difference in Winnie, and in our bond with her, has been so meaningful and impactful. Not to mention that Winnie loves OPBarks and gets so excited when we pull up!! We recently had to go on vacation and enrolled Winnie at the farm boarding school for 9 days in Quakertown. Trainers Corrine, Dana, and Alana were so communicative and sent so many photos/videos each day. When we went to pick Winnie up on day 9 I could tell she was so happy with the trainers and having a blast romping around the room. Not only did they fine tune everything we had already been working on, but knowing Winnie was actually having fun is worth every cent. We couldn’t be happier with OPBarks!
