I can never run out of good things to say about OTC Academy! I talk about them at every chance I get. Even my work colleagues know about OTCK9 Academy. My dog has been going there since he was a puppy, and it’s truly his second home. His whole face lights up when I say “you’re going to school today!” 😂. He’s a graduate of their Well-Mannered Dog Training Program, and the care and attention he gets from the staff are unmatched. They don’t just “watch” the dogs they love on them like their own dogs. I also love how kind the owners Darrell & Kim are to their staff. We dog parents love each of them too! Kingston gets the best mix of exercise, mental stimulation, and social time with his other little dog friends. The facility is always spotless (seriously, no dog smell!), and they’re diligent about cleaning and disinfecting. When I travel, I never worry because I know he’s in THE BEST. Unlike other boarding places that may keep dogs crated most of the day, OTCK9 Academy makes sure they’re outside as much as possible playing and socializing during the day. Kim, Darrell, and the entire team are incredible. I love checking their social media during the day, to see Kingston having the time of his life! I’m so grateful to have found a place that cares for him as much as I do. If you want a daycare or boarding facility that treats your dog like family, OTCK9 Academy is THAT place!

***UPDATE 2/5/2025. (Since google wont allow me to leave another review lol) Never in a million years did I think this was possible for us. My dog, Ghost, has always been a challenge—so much so that we haven’t taken a vacation in almost three years because no one else could care for him. We went through multiple trainers, all of whom struggled to get past their own fear of working with him. They labeled my dog aggressive but he was really scared and not confident. It felt hopeless, like we were out of options. Then we found OTCK9, and everything changed. From day one, the team showed not only confidence but also a deep understanding of Ghost’s behavior. They didn’t shy away from his challenges—instead, they embraced them and worked with patience, skill, and true dedication. The progress Ghost has made is nothing short of incredible. I never imagined we would reach this level of success, and yet, here we are. The OTCK9 staff has been nothing but AMAZING and their passion for what they do is evident in every interaction. Their expertise, consistency, and commitment to both the dogs and their owners set them apart from any other training program we’ve tried. This has been a true breakthrough for us. I am beyond thankful to the OTCK9 team for giving us the freedom and peace of mind we never thought we’d have. If you’re on the fence about training, trust me—this program is life-changing. 10/10 recommendation. I wish I could leave a million stars ⭐️ ——————————————- Darryl Darryl Darryl is all I can say. lol I can't say enough about Darryl, Carlos, and the team at OTCK9. I have a 2-year-old Cane Corso named Ghost, and we were referred here after our new vet couldn't get close enough to treat his injuries without sedating him, which was very costly. We hadn't been on vacation in 2 years because no one could watch him due to his reactivity to everything and everyone, including family. Ghost had to be put in the garage when company came over. We had already tried two dog trainers who were afraid of Ghost, and their training didn't help. I was skeptical if OTCK9 could make a difference. However, during our first consultation, Darryl was able to take Ghost for a walk outside without us. I was speechless. Darryl wasn't intimidated or scared of Ghost, and that was a game-changer. We've had three sessions so far (two private and one group), and the improvement in Ghost has been significant. We've been practicing what we learned at home, and today we went through a busy farmers market—something I never thought would be possible. I highly recommend Darryl and his knowledgeable team, especially Carlos. They are hands-on and fantastic to work with. I love everything about OTCK9 and will continue to support them. After 2 years, I finally have hope that we'll be able to board Ghost or have someone watch him so my husband and I can go on vacation. Thank you, OTCK9! We love and appreciate you all!

We have been bringing our pack as well as some of our foster dogs to OTCK9 for over four years. We continue with group classes as often as we can and we 100% rely on our trainers for boarding when we travel. They are professional, understanding, and treat and train each of our dogs individually. We can always ask them questions about changes in our dogs. We always recommend them to people who need trainers to assess their dogs. They are the best of the best.

Normally, I don't write reviews, good or bad. But had to do this one. We have a 250+lb Bull Mastiff that is a sweet boy, but we had one incident while walking thru our subdivision. I was walking the mastiff and my husband was walking our great dane. A jogger came by and the mastiff decided he wanted to go see her. I was yanked about 6 feet from the sidewalk into the street. I sustained a cracked rib and minor bruising. It could have been much worse. Naturally, I became very leary of walking him, so we did not take him out after that. We finally decided that we needed help with him, because he needs to be able to go out on walks. I searched for training, and yes he did go thru a pet store training when he was younger. I found OTCK9. What a difference they have made in us and Otis! We opted for the private lessons just because of his size. We were very impressed that they don't just train and release! They go with you to parks, and businesses that allow dogs and teach you how to handle situations that arise. OTCK9 has given us the tools to feel confident when taking Otis into public places. **** this is a previous review and I still stand behind it. We now have an an English mastiff and my only regret is we moved and we can’t take her to train with OTC K9. We still have the knowledge that they gave us and we train her like they trained us. Cannot give enough compliments to OTC K 9!! They are the best.
