Sarah-Anne came highly recommended to me when my grief was still fresh from the death of my beloved Sage, a 13 year old wirehaired pointer, a few months before, and bringing home a rescue 'Melon' ... an eight month old, bright eyed terrier mix. I needed Sarah-Ann's expertise and professionalism in giving me and Melon a solid and positive foundation for starting out life together. I could not give a higher review for the exemplary services my family and I received from Pack Dynamics. We were the rare family (two adults, an two kids, ages 11 and 14) who did not have any pets, and the decision to add a Labradoodle puppy to our clan was one that was not made lightly. Since I had not had any pets since my own childhood (same with my wife), we really felt like we needed some extra support. We read multiple books before getting our pup, but it is such a complicated world out there, with so many different "experts" who sometimes completely disagree with one another on a training concept. If you are considering working with Pack Dynamics, please just trust me and DO IT. I rarely, if ever, give a five-star rating to anything, and in this case, I wish I could give six. Sarah-Anne is outstanding in every way. Here is why: 1) Professionalism: Sarah-Anne and her small staff run such a professional business. I DO NOT take such a thing for granted here in Bend. She will return messages promptly. She has outstanding web resources, She will treat you and your pup like you are her absolute top priority EVERY TIME you interact with her. Once you are working with her, you will get SO MUCH MORE than you pay for. She will also help you with whatever dog-related needs arise that may not relate directly to training. 2) Outstanding training program: I would not call Sarah-Anne a dog trainer; I would call her a people trainer. But it is so much more than that. She has a very consistent, humane, and effective program, all of which is based on a very clear philosophy which drives all "training" decisions. After working with Sarah-Anne, we am so happy with the progress of our pup, and the best part is that all of the discipline has been humane. My dog has never been hit or yelled at, and everybody comments how greatly behaved he is for his age. The other awesome thing is that Sarah-Anne taught my family a PHILOSOPHY, not just a bunch of specifics (which, of course, were also included). What this means is that when new questions come up, we can usually know what to do based on our understanding of the philosophy. This has proved immensely valuable, and even if we are not able to solve every new canine conundrum (and there will be many), Sarah-Anne is ALWAYS there to support. 3) Knowledge: Sarah-Anne is an absolute expert on dogs, but the most impressive thing is that she has managed to put it into a program that is relatively easy to learn (I am not saying it wasn't a lot of work) for everyone. She caters the training program to the specific needs of both the dog and the family. Different members of our family had different strengths and weaknesses with the training process, and Sarah-Anne knew how to work with everyone's unique needs. Her expertise on all things canine is unquestionable. You will see this for yourself the first time you talk to her.

I have been so impressed with Sarah-Anne's passion for her work, her heart for her clients, and her professionalism! We used her with our first dog about 5 years ago. We recently got a new puppy and decided to freshen up on our skills in properly relating to our new little guy. What she teaches makes sense, and we have already seen changes in our new puppy.
