Parker's K9 Academy

Parker literally saved our rescue dog’s life. He was a farm dog that had never been walked on a leash, had zero training, was severely underweight and showed concerning signs of anxiety, and resource guarding. When we dropped Bear off, we weren’t sure we could even keep him. Within a week, we had hope. But when we picked up Bear, he was a completely different dog! Bear walks on a leash like a champ, is confident of his role in our family, is able to coexist with our other dogs, and is eating and gaining weight! Not only did Parker train Bear how to be a calm, well behaved family dog, he trained us how to be good owners to him. We are so grateful!

Highly recommend Parker’s academy for any training or boarding needs. We were out of town during their training and boarding and didn’t feel nervous at all while we were away. We knew our fur children Juniper and Goose were in great hands. They had so much fun we hoped they’d want to come back home lol. Parker has an engaging training style that even on day 2 we could see how much better behaved they were. Thanks for doing the heavy lifting Parker, it put us in a great spot to continue what they had learned. It’s transformed our lives being able to be confident incorporating our dogs outside the home and making more memories with them. Also really appreciate the follow on support Parker provides to ensure success- he really cares for all the animals and improving their lives with their humans and that come through his training and you can tell he loves what he does. Thank you Parker!!! The work you have done with our 10 month old dog, Mazzy (Standard Poodle) has been life changing for us. She was very difficult to manage on leash during our walks and was completely none responsive to recall. It was an incredibly frustrating situation. The two week of training you did with her has not only made our lives easier but has changed the entire nature of our living situation with Mazzy. She now stays in place on her bed and is at home in her kennel too. Such a game changer!!! We appreciate the time you spent with us after the training session to teach us how to communicate with her and the training tools you used have been easy for us to adopt and maintain on our own. We appreciated the videos you sent during her training as well. They truly showed how much love you have for your work and how playful and loving you were toward Mazzy. Finally, her boarding experience was excellent. We know you gave her lots of one on one pay time and took her out for walks. We could see how bonded you two were by the time we came to pick her up. We look forward to a long term boarding relationship with you moving forward.

Parker spent 2 weeks with our goldendoodle, Waffles and it’s made a world of difference for us. Prior to training she would fixate, pull on her leash and bark whenever we walked by other dogs. We also couldn’t keep her calm in the car when driving past other dogs, or even people at times. We loved taking her to do things, but this made it stressful, and we’d avoid other dogs at all costs. It’s been one week since we picked her up and have implemented the training methods at home and it’s made our outings much more enjoyable because she knows how to stay calm and no longer pulls and barks aggressively. Parker spent time teaching us how to enforce the skills he had worked with her on, so we were confident bringing her back home and getting into real life situations. I was nervous to leave her somewhere unfamiliar for 2 weeks and knew I’d miss her, but Parker kept us updated with photos and videos so we knew she was doing well and happy. Definitely recommend if you’re wanting to improve your dogs behavior.
