Pat's Pack Dog Training

Where do I even start! From our very first session to even our last I saw improvements with my dog every time. At first I thought she was untrainable with all her barking, jumping, chewing on stuff and constant yanking of my arm on walks, we tried everything to get her to stop. As soon as Pat walked in he immediately got to work and within the first session he not only got her to stop jumping on people, BUT he got her to walk by my side when we go out and now she can practically walk off leash if we let her. Not only is he good with communicating with dogs he is also really good at explaining everything he does so we understand why he did it. Just overall a really great guy and he made us feel so confident with what we were doing. I will definitely recommend and trust him with your dog!

I am so glad a friend recommended our curious Bart to Pat’s Pack! In the beginning we had a ton of demand barking, uncontrollable excitement on leash, and fence rushing for passers-by so much so that neither of us felt comfortable for him on walks and with our extended families. Pat reassured us that even though our dog was nearly two that; a. the board and train would be a total immersion and most successful b. that Pat would remain available for support, which he has been! Now that Bart is home he walks by us – can follow the skateboard – look at passing people, dogs, cats, chickens, turkeys, even horses and can regulate himself. The e collar has proven to be a vital communication device when nothing else would grab his attention in the heat of the moment, something we’re gearing up to have with us camping and out on off-leash trails. We are so relieved to have this new language with our pup that keeps him safe and accountable. He loves being a good boy and we’re happy to have his loveable self back in swing of things!

Pat has worked with our dog, Boots, on three separate board and trains, starting when we was just a few months old. Starting early helped his socialization skills dramatically. We are so impressed with the progress he has been able to make, from setting foundational skills like place, leash walking and recall to helping us with off leash training at only 8 months. Boots is a happier, safer dog and we’re so grateful to Pat for his approach and genuine care for our dog. We look forward to more sessions with Pat and his pups!

I have contacted Pat several times for advice and training for our Doberman, who is a very stubborn dog. Pat is always quick with his responses, and all of his advice and training techniques have worked wonders for us. He is very thorough with his explanations, gives a lot of feedback on questions we have had, and always goes the extra mile with the information given to us. We have seen a night and day difference in our dog and household. Can’t give thanks enough to him for all of his help.
