Paws & Effect Pet Care and Dog Training

We went on vacation for a week. We hired Paws & Effect to provide feeding, exercise periods and potty breaks for our two dogs (ages 1 and 14 weeks) during the day when our dog sitter was at work. They were to provide two (2) 15-minute sessions each day, with the express understanding that the first session was to be extended to a 30-minute session if that proved necessary to provide our young pup with the ability to eat, exercise and relieve himself. The owner assured me that she would spend extra time (at no extra charge) to make sure that our dogs were properly cared for, and would extend the first session of the day to 30 minutes if that proved necessary. We fully expected that it would be necessary, and expected to be invoiced accordingly. Without expanding the first session of the day, we should have received 5 days of care at 30 minutes per day, for a total of 150 minutes of care. Our garage door is on a "smart system." We could see when the owner entered and left. From the time that she opened the garage door to the time she left, she spent a total of 77 minutes at our home over 5 days. Conservatively deducting 1 minute of time per session to enter and leave the residence, that means that the owner spent an average of 6.7 minutes per session with our dogs, hardly enough time for any dog, let alone a young pup, to eat, exercise and relieve himself. We are extremely disappointed and recommend that you do not utilize the services of Paws & Effect.
