Pawsitive Manners School LLC

I can't speak highly enough of the difference that Kaylan and Pawsitive Manners School made in our lives at home with our dog Blaze (male Doberman Pinscher). When he was still under a year old we struggled so much with him. He was wild, huge, he would jump all over us and other people, he would dart out of the door any time we opened it, he knocked my young children down constantly, he chewed everything in sight at all times, he ate his food, our senior dogs food, and any other food he could get to as fast as he possibly could. When I say we were at our wits end with him, we were very close to giving up on him and trying to find him a new home. My husband and I both work full time, are raising a family, and had never had a more difficult dog to deal with. We finally made the decision to bring him to Kaylan. She kept him for around 4 weeks and trained him with her other dogs around. My first training session with her was shocking to me. She had this velociraptor of a dog on a leash! And he was obeying her commands! I was so impressed with how he was responding to her in such a short amount of time with her. She ended up showing me what she had been teaching him and I almost couldn't believe the improvement. By the end of the 4 weeks he had stopped darting out of the door, stopped tearing things up, he was listening better in general, he stopped jumping on all of us, she even taught this ravenous eating machine how to sit and wait for a command to eat!! It was truly amazing. After training was over and we brought him home, it was such a relief to us. We could now actually enjoy our dog. Before, he was nothing but a stressor in our lives. Now, he is truly a part of our family. It has now been about a year since we finished up training and he still obeys all of the commands that he was taught. Another thing that I need to add is that Kaylan taught me things that we could change about his environment that potentially caused some of his behaviors. For instance she suggested that he would chew things up due to boredom. So we got some new and different toys for him, got a designated toy box for him, and changed how we did some things and it turned out that she was right. I say all of this to say that Kaylan is knowledgeable and she knows how to treat these dogs and how to train them based on each individual situation. I would bring my dog to her a million times over. Our lives are truly changed for the better after having found her. Thank you to Pawsitive Manners School for giving us the tools to have a happy life with, previously, one of the most difficult dogs I have ever known!!

We've worked with Kaylan with three pups now. While we were committed to training our dogs, we couldn't spend the time necessary to lay the foundation. Kaylan's boarding and training was ideal for teaching respect, correcting behavior issues and implementing great manners. She helped us understand the commands and when to use them so that we were successful at home. We notice an immediate difference when we implement what she has shown us, and can also tell when we haven't been abiding by the "rules". Our dogs behave much better when we do our part. It amazed me how simple most of the instructions were, the key was being consistent. We have three kids, and even our 3 year old understands what commands to use. After boarding, they came home completely different dogs, but retained their great personality! They respected "stay", "sit", "break", "go to bed", "off", "come", and more. Kaylan is very talented and especially in tune with the dog's behavior. She did a great job of explaining to me what was happening, and it would have been difficult for me to see on my own. With her help, we've been able to curb some annoying habits of our puppies and continue to set them on a path for being very obedient. We are thankful to Kaylan and the time she spends with us to make sure we succeed! She truly cares about great results.
