Melanie is such an incredible person! We reached out to her prior to bringing home a new rescue puppy. Our 9 year old dog, Grace, is very dog selective, so we were quite nervous. She worked with us on both dogs, including Grace before our new guy, Gus, joined our family. Then she did training for both dogs at the same time, to help them get used to one another and co-exist. She made every training session very meaningful and impactful for both dogs, and left us with tons of helpful information and tools to succeed. She helped develop more confidence for Grace, and better manners for Gus. Both pups are now best friends! Melanie has been so helpful at all stages of Gus', from puppyhood to teenager. She is full of knowledge and really helped us adjust to a new dog in the mix and lessened our nerves significantly. We highly recommend Peak K-9 for any training needs!

We recently adopted a miniature poodle named Spud from a breeder, knowing that puppy training would require patience and consistency. Unfortunately, Spud struggled with crate training—he’d get so anxious in the kennel that he’d vomit, despite weeks of trying. Because we had to limit his crate time, we ended up dealing with frequent accidents around the house, and our busy work schedules made consistent training difficult. That’s when we found Peak K-9, and hiring them was the best decision we’ve made for Spud. He completed Melanie’s two-week on-site training program and came home a completely transformed pup. He’s now crate trained, responds to his name, walks calmly on a leash, comes when called, and has had very few accidents (and those were our fault for not following Melanie’s guidance!). Melanie is AMAZING! Our Boston Terrier, Piper, was born deaf. I have never owned a deaf dog and had no idea what to do. Melanie came to my rescue, and Piper just adored her. We learned hand signals for commands, and with practice, she quickly grasped them. It has been a while since we last had a training session, so we need to refresh some of her skills. I can't say enough about how happy I am with the service that was provided, I highly recommend Peak K-9.
