Peak K-9 Dog Training

I can’t say enough amazing things about Melanie with Peak K9 training! We reached out to her when our spicy little corgi (Jovie) was having resource guarding issues, as well as needing help with basic listening, confidence, and cooperative care. We have done both private home lessons and a 3 week board and train with Melanie and Jovie loved her immediately! I thought it would be hard to send Jovie away for 3 weeks, but with constant picture and video updates, I knew Jovie was in good hands. My favorite thing about Peak K9 is that Jovie wasn’t one of many in a boarding facility where she spent way too much time in a kennel. Melanie works out of her own home and only has a couple trainees at a time. Jovie instantly became part of her family (even getting homemade pupcakes and extra spoiling on her birthday!) We were so happy with the differences in Jovie after her board and train. She came home happier, with more confidence, and LOTS of new skills! Knowing that Melanie is only a phone call away for more private follow up lessons is also so helpful. We have since used Melanie for normal boarding while we were out of town, and I can confidently say we won’t send Jovie anywhere else in the future! Thank you Melanie for changing Jovie’s life and setting her up for success!!

Peak K-9 Dog Training! Melanie is the best of the best. The absolute cream of the crop of dog trainers. She’s the dog whisperer, I swear. When I first went to Melanie, I told her I not only needed a dog trainer, but I human trainer. She understood the assignment and has been an absolute life saver. Training a dog doesn’t happen overnight and Melanie has been there for continuous support throughout this journey. She doesn’t judge if I slacked off and is more than willing to answer any questions to get me back on track. She offers board and train, training classes, 1:1, day trains, etc.

Melanie is truly an incredible dog trainer! Our dog, Frank, went through Board and Train with her back in November to work on leash pulling, recall, and staying calm in public places. Before the training, walks were a challenge because Frank would constantly pull. After just a month with Melanie, Frank's progress was astounding—he now walks beautifully on the leash, without any pulling, and his behavior in public has improved immensely. Leaving Frank with someone for a month was definitely nerve-wracking at first, but Melanie made us feel completely at ease with her constant updates—pictures, videos, and regular communication showed us how much she cared for him. She has been a trusted partner in his training journey since, and we rely on her for all of our boarding needs. Simply put, there’s no one we trust more than Melanie with our dog. She's absolutely amazing!
