So proud of our boy Rocky. He finished his last training and his aggression and people skills gotten so much better! Rocky (Husky and German shepherd) has high energy, anxiety, aggression, he’s stubborn, lunges, and likes to nip a lot. Went through 4 different places with numerous trainers. At 4 months, we were warned he is going to be a handful and we’ll have to pretty much turn our lives around if we decided to keep him. We tried all kinds of training from group classes, personal training, 30 day boot camp which they end up just keeping the deposit and didn’t want to take the rest of our money because they couldn’t train him. Another place advise us to euthanize him. He was 11 months at that time 😭😡. We felt hopeless. Did some research on dog aggressive trainers and found phoenixdogtraining.com. They talked about board/training, anxiety, fear, aggression and what really popped out was their quote, “PLEASE BEFORE YOU PUT YOUR DOG DOWN CONTACT US. WE CAN HELP WHERE OTHERS CAN’T” Got introduced to Jordan and been working with him since June 2021. He gave us hope. We did half training at home and the other half at the park. Rocky is so much better and we’re not afraid to bring him around people. We know how to train people to be around him and what not to do around him. We just had to find the right trainer that deals with these kind of dog personality/behaviors, take what we learned, train him, and give him lots of love!! Still need some work and consistent training but he’s a good boy. Proud of Rocky 🐾 🤍🤎🖤

They make you pay non refundable up front for their “amazing” training. After giving them $5,000 up front non refundable they had us spend hundreds of dollars on shock collars and other accessories some financially backed by them. Then after 3/10 sessions we told them we didn’t like the shock collars and the “training” was giving 0 results they refused to give any money back in good faith and just wanted to set up more sessions. Be wary of any one giving non refundable training vs. money back guaranteed training. I’ll be reporting to the bbb as well they scam you with the non refundable agreement.

Nice folks, but zero value added for a $2k service. In five visits, we received about an hours worth of professional training. The rest of the time was spent being lectured to about what to do between visits. We discontinued the service after they recommended we put the puppy on Prozac and our vet didn’t agree. Granted, the dog did have anxiety. But, it was mainly caused by the e-collar they suggested. I’m giving the service a 2 instead of a 1 because our trainer was a genuinely nice guy and they seemed committed to quality. In fact, each session ends with a long survey. Once, I mentioned in the survey that I wanted to speak to a manager and I was never contacted. So, I’m sharing our story here. In retrospect, I recommend using a boarding service if you expect results in a 6 month to a year time frame. Luckily, our puppy overcame his anxiety and he’s a good boy. I just wish I had invested the $2k elsewhere. Update: Note the owner’s response. He still has not reached out to us despite my review and request to speak to management. His comment about “doing the work” is uninformed because he hasn’t met us. Also, “the work” they suggested is issue here. The e-collar and Prozac were rejected by credentialed doctors we consulted. The work we have done outside of their guidance has been much more effective. Phoenix Dog Training is just fine if you want to be lectured to for 10 hours. But if you want someone to work with your dog, then spend the money elsewhere.
