Positive Response Dog Training

Highly recommend! Jim does not use a one-size-fits-all approach, but rather, gets to know your dog and creates a training solution based on that dogs' needs. He's super knowledgeable and understands psychology, which is very important in dog training. Our dog was a fence jumper, and he helped us train her with a stim collar to teach her to not run away. It's been so helpful, and we felt very confident taking Jim's instructions and further working with our dog with the knowledge we were given. He even follows up after a training session to see how everything is working. Great value for what he provides!!

We are BEYOND impressed with how far our labradoodle puppy has come! He returned yesterday and he is already a new pup! My husband and I struggled greatly with Teddy respecting us - constant biting, attention, leash pulling etc! Since his return he LISTENS to us, has not bit either of us and was able to walk with me beautifully on the leash. He used to jump on strangers while walking and it was absolute torture! He walked BEAUTIFULLY and could Care less about other people or dogs that walked by us. My husband and I are expecting a baby shortly and we just knew things had to change. I can’t thank Jim enough - he was patient, answered all of our questions (yes, I am a crazy dog mom) and he was quick to respond. We are so grateful to have met Jim he is truly the best and has changed our lives drastically! I am able to sit with our puppy on the couch without constantly saying “NO”! We reached out Jim for help to tame our lovingly wild Australian Shepherd, Maple. We tried multiple trainers when she was younger and nothing really stuck. Some of the issues we were having with Maple included pulling on leash while walking, excessive reactive barking and an overall lack of control over our dog. Jim’s methods were the perfect match for us. The reactive barking and walking were basically an instant fix and Jim gave us the tips and tools to really drive the training home. We could not be happier with the results. She is still our lovable, energetic dog but now is very well behaved. We actually enjoy and look forward to our walks and they are no longer a source of daily stress. We would highly recommend Positive Response Dog Training to anybody.

Thanks to Jim from positive response dog training for helping us with our chocolate lab and new golden retriever pup Winston. Jim was able to teach my husband and I, including the pups the proper ways to prevent jumping on guests. This was a big concern of mine. I felt like I could never have guest in my house without the hit of a 94 pound chocolate lab…… Walking on the leash has improved for both dogs- I am not being dragged down the sidewalk 😊. If I am crazy enough to get a third dog, I would highly use the help of Jim again. Thanks again Jim! We appreciate you!
