Positive Response Dog Training

Working with Jim from Positive Response has been life changing for both my mini Husky Beurre and I. Beurre's husky traits make him intelligent but stubborn and Jim knew exactly how to handle it. When he came home he was happy, healthy and most of all so response to all commands. He used to pull the leash, bark at other dogs and walking him was a little tricky but one week with Jim and he's an angel. Can't recommend this company enough! PS. He sends awesome videos of his training!

Jim and Tom are beyond amazing! Words truly can not express how much we appreciate and respect both of these men. They have been absolute rockstars and true professionals with our beautiful dog, Susan. She loves Jim and his family so much; she is always so excited to see him. Sometimes we wonder if she likes Jim more than she likes us…Ha! We are fortunate to have an eager, smart puppy…but Jim has masterfully trained her to be the best she can be. He helped instill positive behaviors and confidence with Susan. He has been incredibly accommodating with our schedules and traveling to/from us, and has graciously boarded Susan while we were away traveling. They are A+++ partners in our puppy journey, and will continue to be a Big part in advanced training, fun, and continuing education for Susan. We love PositiveResponseK9 training and so will you!!! Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks? Most of the trainers who we consulted with told us that our 6 year old rescue , Rocky, had behavior issues that most likely could not be addressed. Jim had no doubts about his ability to work with Rocky and in two weeks performed an amazing transition. To be clear Rocky was a well behaved dog inside the home. However, he did charge the front door when deliveries or guests arrived, but more troubling and dangerous was his behavior outdoors. In addition to pulling on his leash, he would scream and lunge at cars and other dogs. It was almost impossible to hold onto him and we feared for his safety as well as our own. Now, he maintains a heel position most of the time when and does not leave our side when cars, trucks or other animals pass by. He has become a well behaved dog that we are confident and comfortable to take anywhere. We highly recommend Jim who sent us texts and videos throughout the training period and continues to follow up and be responsive to any questions or concerns.

We were searching for a trainer for our pit/lab mix because she was having a difficult time socializing with other dogs. Jim was incredibly helpful from the moment we chatted over the phone, and through each of his training sessions. We learned so much with him and our dog instantly took to Jim’s training tactics and we noticed a significant difference. He’s also very personable and an overall wonderful individual. HIGHLY recommend Jim! Wish I could give more than 5 stars!!
