Premier Dog Training

I'm going to try to keep this review a bit short, but that is going to be hard to do with how exceptional Premier was for my pup and I!! Who am I kidding...get ready for a novel 😉 I adopted my boxer pup Riot from BARCS after my former spouse and I split (he had a boxer when we met that grew to feel like my own over the years). I wanted a companion, as the transition was hard and living alone felt lonely. Riot was the first pup I had ever adopted and he had EXTREME reactivity and behavior issues that made it very difficult for us to enjoy our everyday lives and simple things such as walks, company visiting, etc. Riot, hence the name was a HANDFUL. I knew I had to do something if I wanted us to live a happy life together free from feeling like we had so many restrictions. Yesterday was his first day home and I must say we are already in awe at how hard we know both Riot and his trainer Cameron worked through this process! I know Riot has more to learn & so much more potential, but I can already say he's a changed man! I can also say, I would have never have known just how much potential Riot had if it wasn't for Premier. Riot's very smart, but his reactivity and ADD made getting his attention on you for training very hard because of this my confidence levels with training went down significantly because I had felt "he isn't going to listen to me anyway" before I would even mention certain commands. I tried educating myself, but all the online training education was very overwhelming & contradictory which left me more stressed. When I adopted Riot BARCS didn't have anything good to say about him. He was actually on the line for being put down due to his behavioral issues and lack of possible adoption. He was a trouble maker from the start, but I felt all he truly needed was love attention, and training to flourish (little did I know how hard training a strong willed, physically strong pup with reactivity would be). Many of my friends would tell me they didn't understand how I stuck by Riot and didn't return him back to BARCS. I refused to give up on him. I didn't have the time or knowledge on my own to work with Riot to get him where I wanted us to be, so I started looking into board and trains. I am SO SO happy I found Premier. They are conveniently located, their pricing is very competitive compared to other board and trains, their staff make you feel at ease leaving your pup because you can tell they look at dogs like family/children just as you do. You can guarantee they will treat your pup as their own. It's also amazing that they do dog boarding and day care, that way after your pup has graduted boot camp they have somewhere they can go where they are already familar/comfortable when needed. Truly a great business plan/model ran by an amazing team! 👏 They will also provide many updates, photos and videos during your pup stay which is a huge help to those of you other helicopter doggie parents out there. The hardest decision was being without my pup for x3 weeks, but it goes by a lot faster than you think. As mentioned before, Riot came home yesterday and we are already so confident that he will flourish at home with our consistency and follow through thanks to Premier laying down the groundwork. I cannot wait for the new chapter we have ahead of us, for I know Riot's obedience and the new knowledge I now have will make all the difference in the world. Riot saved my life, I saved his & Premier saved ours 💗💕 For any pet owners with reactive dogs with overwhelming behavior issues, there is hope! Don't give up! Premier is the way. I promise the investment is worth it!! I cannot say enough good things about Premier, the owner Jes, the friendly staff that answer the phones & his trainer Cameron. Such amazing people to work with to the point that.... they'll have you wanting to work their too 😅😊 I use to sometimes have to pick my pup up like a sack of potatoes to get us out of reactive situations, which is finally a thing of the past!

We just got Roxy back from her 3 week bootcamp. She is a different dog without being a different dog. She is so confident now. We were able to take her for an actual walk in the neighborhood without our arms being pulled off. She's even leaving the wildlife alone, and I didn't think that was going to be possible. Nick did amazing with her and us! I can't say enough good things about the entire staff.

The boarding at Premier is absolutely wonderful! I have two somewhat skittish older dogs, but from their very first stay a couple of years ago, the dogs have never act stressed out when they are returned to us. They sleep all day, so we assume that means they had a good time with lots of playing during their stay! The staff is fantastic, and take such good care of them. We will never board anywhere else again!
