Wow, where do I start. 5+ ⭐️’s! I did a lot of research in our area as to who to pick for help with my Tommy. Dave was reasonably priced, listened to all of my concerns and was so knowledgeable about handling dogs. Dave wanted to meet Tommy before saying yes, to take this big lug on. He is not a person just looking to take your money and you get what you get. He truly cares about your family member. Dave is a huge dog lover. He also loves his family very much. Your dog is in the best of hands. Your fur baby becomes part of his family, and what an awesome family they are. Extra shout out to Kora and Emmy. I gave him a list of my issues. He had a lot! He addressed all of them and some I didn’t even know I had. I knew Tommy was overweight. How much overweight, I had no idea. Dave managed to slim 10lbs off of him, in only 15 days. He went out of his way to help me with food solutions. Found me the best answer for healthy treats and keep Tommy on track. I can’t say enough good things about ProActive Dog Training. I would highly recommend him to any person looking for that extra help with training your dog, or if you have a problem dog, this is your guy! I am so happy with the results. Tommy’s happier too! It's hard to sum up my experience with Proactive Dog Training. Dave is just absolutely incredible!! My husband & I have had 2 mixed & 5 pure Rotties over the years--3 we got as puppies, the rest were adults from rescues. We never had problems with training. We rescued a 3-year-old pure Rottie named Sniper this past April. He had no training at all. He didn't even respond to his name. My husband is a big guy & he had trouble handling him. We seriously thought we'd have to re-home Sniper. He has a high prey drive, was resource guarding & was completely out of control. We met Dave for a consult, and he had Sniper under control in like 20 minutes! We signed Sniper up for the 2-week day program. The change is just incredible!! Not only did he teach Sniper, Dave taught us! We are very pleased with the results. We really have no words. Seeing the videos every day was great because we could see the progress. We are so grateful to Dave & Proactive Dog Training because we can keep Sniper & enjoy our time with him. Sniper acted like he was going to a playdate every day & was always excited to see Dave. We HIGHLY recommend Dave & Proactive Dog Training. We would definitely use his services if necessary in the future.

We adopted a 17 week old Pit / Shepherd mix. We knew we needed to train him so we could ensure he was well behaved and could be loved by our large family and group of friends. We just didn't have the tools to do it ourselves. We looked for recommendations and Dave was highly recommended by two of our neighbors. We met with Dave and were impressed with his approach and clear understanding of dogs. Our puppy is now a graduate (as of yesterday) from Dave's two week full-day training program. I'm please to say he delivered on all the learning objectives we had. Our pup is well behaved and follows commands easily. Dave also gave us the confidence in how to manage and handle our dog going forward. I can't recommend Dave and his program highly enough. He's the genuine article: Knowledgable, Honest, Hard working, Caring, Gentle and clearly has a way with dogs and is a nice guy to boot.

Reilly came back this week from training and he is doing fantastic with what Dave taught him. Our walks with him now are a pleasure instead of him pulling us. I can’t recommend enough how wonderful this experience was. Dave took Reilly into his home and treated him like a member of his family. You can feel confident that your dog will learn and come back to you very obedient and well cared for. Dave also spent time with us on Reilly’s return going over everything Reilly was taught so we would be prepared to be successful on continuing with the commands he learned. I think Dave is truly a dog whisperer. Give ProActive Dog Training a try, you will be thankful you did.

Dave's training was a lifesaver for me. Finn had just started showing aggressive reactive tendencies towards other dogs and walking him had become a scary thing. After spending 2 weeks with Dave, Finn listens well now and we can walk by dogs and he doesn't react at all. He gave me back my relaxation with my dog and I'll be forever grateful. I would recommend this training for anybody that has any issues with a dog. Dave is definitely a dog whisperer and he and his family love dogs and it shows in the way he treats them during training. I also believe that Finn never had so much fun, not just learning to socialize with other dogs but being taken out to all the different public areas. I'm guessing he thinks his owners are boring now. 😄
