My passion for training dogs began long before I could pursue a career in it. I started training and showing Rottweilers for confirmation in Junior AKC Rings when I was 12. I continued to compete in this arena until I began to prepare for a career with the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP). When I joined the ranks of PSP in 1999, I did so knowing that I would be pursuing a position in their K-9 Unit. We offer the following trainings:

She was 4 months old when he first started with her, and I was absolutely amazed at how quickly she reacted to his commands. He was so gentle yet so in command of her and she LOVED that man! I actually needed as much training as she did and he guided me through the program as he trained her. I highly recommend Priactove Dog Training! He is wonderful!!!!

Dave really sets you up for success with better relationships with your dogs!!! I have tried previous trainers but never had an experience like this!! Both my dogs took to Dave right away and I knew they were always safe in his home with an amazing family!! Absolutely amazing experience with Dave. He was able to help our 175 newfie Albert become a well behaved good citizen in public. My husband is a disabled vet that wanted to be able to take our boy out and about in public and it be a positive experience for them and anyone they meet. Dave was able to achieve this for us. The first time we met to evaluate I knew he was the guy. Albert immediately responded to him and this was before actual training began. We opted to do Dave's day camp option and it was awesome. Everyday we saw progress and Albert was excited to go every morning. Albert is now ready to take the test to be get Good Citizen certified. 10 days of day camp with Dave and Wow ! We are so grateful .

We humans need to be committed to reinforcing clear training at home and it makes a huge difference! Reduce or eliminating crazy barking, come when called, stay on their hammocks, walk calmly and heel!
We highly recommend ProActive Dog Training and wish we would have connected with Dave sooner!

I would recommend Dave Lock as a personal dog trainer to anyone who is having problems with their dog. I give him five stars. He's very good with the dogs.
