I feel bad leaving this review because Susan is very nice, but we picked this because of the reviews and I think this information would be helpful to others. We put our dog in the Beginner Puppy classes. The online class you must sit through first is a complete waste of time. Susan talks at you about the most basic puppy topics we already knew. We didn’t get the correct link until we had waited for 45 minutes. No one acknowledged or apologized for that. The in-person classes are equally unhelpful. Much of the class is listening to Susan and Rob talk about their own dogs or about the best products to buy. I didn’t learn anything unique that I couldn’t find online. I didn’t learn how to teach my dog any basic obedience skills either. My biggest struggle was with the hyper sensitive approach. Don’t get me wrong, I love and spoil the crap out of my puppy, but waiting the whole day for him to feel comfortable walking past something scary just isn’t feasible. If I brush my dog’s hair, and he doesn’t like it, he’s going to survive. They are dogs, after all, not orphaned children. I will say that Susan is nice, complimentary, and good with dogs. The small class size is nice, and we loved letting our puppy play with the other dogs. That said, I would not recommend this class, unless you have a super anxious dog, know next to nothing about reading a dog’s body language, or have no other outlet for you puppy to socialize. I’m sorry to leave a negative review, it seems my feedback is unique, so I wanted to provide my perspective.
