The Alpha Canine team was worth every penny for training my 1-year-old 90lb Bernedoodle! I really struggled with Bohdi pulling and jumping. Having such a large dog, I knew that there was no room for error with some of his behavior - especially jumping around kids or in an office setting. I've also considered training him to be a therapy dog, so his obedience was something I was more than willing to invest in. After training, I have absolutely no issues with him pulling - he'll test me on occasion, but once he sees that I won't allow shenanigans, he's back to properly Heeling. He now will default to Heel even when off the leash (I've included some pictures below). He's learned to love Place, and will stay in Place until I give him permission to leave. He'll also Stay for as long as I tell him to (see the high temptation of a baby with food - two of his obsessions - and he's still Staying). I love that Randy took the time to call me personally and answer all of my questions - even helping me out with a couple of things - before we came into training. I felt confident that I was sending my pup off with someone who knew what they were doing and truly cared about my dog's well-being. Bohdi came home remarkably well-behaved, and we often get compliments when out at restaurants or on walks. I learned quite quickly that while Bohdi was perfectly trained, I was not haha So I love that Randy took the time to do multiple sessions of training with ME to ensure that we had a successful training experience. When I TELL you that your dog knows better... HE KNOWS BETTER. This child would test me by pushing how far he would Heel - always a couple of inches in front or away from me - and I didn't think I needed to correct him because it was close enough. But the SECOND Randy picked up the leash, this dog was perfectly positioned to the MILLIMETER. Bohdi - and your dog as well - will 100% learn the material and will 100% test you to see if you know it as well. If you, the owner, don't keep up their training, then they will take advantage of that. I really appreciate that the Alpha Canine team invested their time and went above and beyond to make sure I went home feeling confident in Bohdi's behavior and my ability to enforce it. At the end of our last day of training together, I wasn't feeling very confident, and Randy noticed and offered to meet again the next day. They even follow up with me post-training to see how we are doing, and I find a lot of security in knowing that if I was having an issue with something, they would help.

We brought our precious Winnie to Alpha Canine all the way from Chicago. We adopted from a rescue at 4 months old, and went to Randy at 8 months. She had typical puppy misbehaviors: chewing, not listening, unable to settle down, pulling on walks, running away from us, etc. Winnie’s most intolerable behavior (and it mortifies me to admit this) she was a TRASH PANDA! Anything she could grab, steal, sneak away with she would..and she refused to let it go! She would steal shoes, chapstick, lotion bottles, socks, Kleenex, toilet paper, work documents..anything you could think of. Even worse, she collected garbage from the street: food wrappers, tin cans, bags…the worse was a pack of cigarettes she grabbed from the side of the road and absolutely positively would not give them up! Attempting to take things away turned into a battle, she would snap, growl and run to protect her treasures. I’m sure you all can picture or relate somewhat to this scenario. We thought we could train her, we were wrong. Very wrong. We began to question if we made the right choice in adopting her, but our love and dedication for Winnie won out and decision made to do what what was best for her, and us.What I can say from my heart is that Winnie went to Alpha Canine at 8 months old as an undisciplined puppy and came home at nine months as a little lady. But here’s the BEST part, and please take note (this is super important). Before Randy sends your fur baby home, he trains YOU! Yes, YOU, so you can continue the positive changes and know the CORRECT way to reinforce good behavior and give correction as necessary. Our training was just as valuable as Winnie’s training, perhaps more so. On our first walk together post training I was skeptical and hesitant, expecting another tug of war and a fury of trash collection. I reviewed in my head what Randy taught me before we set out (again, easy peasy, nothing complicated) and it was the BEST walk I have ever had with any dog and I’ve had dogs 50+ years. Our walk was so enjoyable for BOTH of us we didn’t want it to end. NO MORE TRASH PANDA!! No more pulling, she paid attention, very obedient and stayed by my side…it was hard for me to believe after the struggles we had with her that this unruly puppy had now turned into a little lady😊What Randy teaches us (the humans) is not hard, it is not complicated, it is not a laundry list of stuff. It’s simply us reinforcing (in the correct manner) what he has taught your dog, correcting them in the correct manner and praising in the correct manner. With his expertise in training I promise that you and your pet will be happier than you ever imagined. As a side note, this is our second excellent experience with Alpha Canine. Randy trained our daughter’s dog, also a rescue. Marvin is a very big boy and needed to be taught manners and discipline. Marvin is now 100% a huge, loveable, very obedient gentleman! He and Winnie get along fabulously, totally due to their training and ours. I give Alpha Canine 5 stars because that is the top rating on Google, but this is a 10 star trainer, facility, and experience..and the very best investment you will ever make for your dog and yourself! Four weeks ago my one year old wild child dog went to Aplha K9 for obedience training. Where before he jumped on everyone he met, never remained still and was more often than not misbehaving, today I brought home a completely different dog. He obeys every command, be it to sit, stay, lay down, heel or place.
