I cannot say enough good things about Randy Hare’s Alpha Canine Dog Training. Before training, my dog was constantly pulling on the leash and honestly just didn’t listen very well. Walks were stressful instead of enjoyable, however since training the walks we go on are more relaxing than they’ve ever been for both me and my dog! After sending him to Randy, it’s like I got a completely different dog back. He walks perfectly on leash, listens immediately, and is calm, focused, and obedient. The transformation has been truly incredible. What really stands out is not just the obedience, but the confidence and balance my dog now has. Everybody we know says he’s a completely different dog now, in the very best way. He still has all the personality he ever had, however now we are truly a team and Randy’s training has deepened the relationship between my dog and I! Randy clearly knows what he’s doing and genuinely cares about the dogs he works with. The results speak for themselves. If you’re on the fence — don’t be. This was one of the best decisions I’ve made for my dog. Highly, highly recommend!

We adopted an Aussie pup, we knew going in that Blu would be a high energy dog and we were okay with that. We could handle her! Well, to our surprise on day one we realized that would be a big task. She would not listen, ate remotes, furniture, prescription glasses, cabinets, trash you name it she ate it. Was with sadness that we considering returning her, as it was just too much. Then our sign came, we were out to dinner and on a truck, in the parking lot there was Alpha k9 Training. I ran out and stopped them, they probably thought I was crazy. But I needed to talk to them about Blu, and they were absolutely wonderful, and I could tell they loved what they do in training dogs, well by that Sunday Blu was in training for a month. I cannot express into words the changes they were able to do with her, they also trained us in how to continue what they taught Blu. She is a completely different dog, well behaved, listens to commands, doesn't eat what she should not. It was a prayer answered. We highly recommend Randy and Lauren if your dog needs training!

Otto and I made several attempts with “professional” dog trainers in the Nashville area. After unsatisfactory results, I decided more in-depth research was necessary before throwing good money after bad and subjecting Otto to further confusing indoctrination. Otto Von Bucht Nebenfluss is a 3-year-old male Black Sable German Shepherd, a working dog from an excellent German/Czech line. Although Otto possesses one of the most pleasant personalities of any dog I’ve owned, he was also mischievous and stubborn; nor was I without fault. I came across a very interesting trainer named Randy Hare, owner of Alpha K-9 Training Center. I was thoroughly impressed with the website, Randy’s history, and reviews. After taking Otto to meet with Randy and Lauren, I was so impressed that I decided that Alpha K-9 would be our next stop. This was one of the best decisions and investments I’ve ever made. Randy’s knowledge of the GSD (and plenty of other breeds) was incomparable. His use of positive reinforcement methods, along with patience and understanding, and exceptional training techniques, broke through Otto’s determination to ignore and propensity to tease, while Otto’s gentle personality remained intact. I noticed marked improvements at the end of Otto’s sessions in the 3 days that I was required to attend with Otto. It was also obvious to me that Randy and Otto had developed a mutual understanding and respect. After 4 weeks I was anxious to bring Otto home and continue in the techniques that Randy had taught both of us. I am absolutely thrilled with how Otto has absorbed this training! I’m no longer upended by Otto as he rushes to the front door or darts across the threshold before me! When told to “place,” he stays put until told otherwise! On walks, he stays in-stride, in the correct position, by my side and turn-by-turn! Every command is followed. Randy taught me the power of consistency and the necessity of a pack leader! I didn’t think I could fall more in love with Otto. The facilities are fantastic – roomy, clean, and filled with state-of-the-art dog-training accoutrements – inside and out. Randy and Lauren took excellent care of Otto, and they were so gracious and kind to me. They are true animal lovers and consummate professionals!

Phenomenal experience. Randy and Lauren are unmatched. They took in our 1.5 year old Doberman and turned him into a well-mannered companion. It’s astonishing what 4 weeks did for our boy and for us as a family. Everything Randy promised was upheld and more. We can finally walk our dog without a single pull and can expose him to any scenario (e.g dog park, pet store, having friends/family over) and have confidence in him and more importantly have confidence in ourselves.
