Red Woof Canine Training Center and Boarding

We love boarding our pup with Red Woof! He's one of those loud and obnoxious dogs, but they still welcomed him with open arms and worked with him and his current (or lack thereof) social skills. The staff has always been great- very approachable, answers all of my questions and understood our dogs personality right away. It's tough finding a place that you trust with your dog, but our concerns were gone when we saw the staff love our pup and him so happy to be at the kennel. Also, I LOVE that they have some Adobtable Rescue Dogs on site!

Oh my what a little research will do. After arguing with the instructor on harmfully training methods I did some research. The martingale collar was invented in 1930 for sighthound since it was easy for them to slip out of collars and then it crossed over to the dog training world to help learn to heal nicely. Never was it meant to be used to teach down or any other commands, but creative trainers found it was a way to force a dog to obey, not out of love of owner or need to please but because they want to release the pressure on their neck. Kneeing a dog according to the AKC is detrimental to the dog can do physical and emotional harm. I know, I know your just putting your knee up but a pig in a dress is still a pig. Add to the fact I heard way to many "nos" directed to the dogs and not any praises to the dogs, I find this facility deserves one star and I leave it to you if you are comfortable putting your dog in this facility. I myself rather have a dog that obeys me because of respect and love than pressure on their neck.
