Ridgeside K9 Central Florida

We loved our experience with Ridgeside! My husband and I have been dealing with fear reactivity with our rescue dog Miller for the past 2 years, to the point where we didn’t have people come to our house out of fear of how he will act. Ridgeside helped us to understand the reasoning behind his reactions and helped us to build his confidence too. We worked with Kendall who shared her own personal experiences and gave us lots of insight and videos on his training throughout their boarding program. He is like a new dog now! His reactivity is something we will continue to work through every day, but now we have the confidence, trust, and tools to build on his training and show off the loving dog that we get to see daily.

We are so thankful to the wonderful owners and trainers at Ridgeside. We decided to do their board and train program for our two year old pup after meeting another dog who had trained with Ridgeside and whose owners highly recommended them. Deciding to do a board and train for our pup was not an easy choice, we worried he would miss us, and of course we would miss him! It was the absolute best choice that we could have made! Prior to training, his anxious and playful energy around other dogs (and sometimes people) made it difficult to walk him. His energy was also too much for our older dog and we had to keep them separated. So imagine our surprise when we picked him up from Ridgeside and saw that he was just casually hanging out with their other dogs and even their cat! We wondered how it would go bringing him home to our older dog, but the social skills he learned in training have transformed him and he has been AMAZING with her! He is also no longer pulling us down the street on the leash or barking at other dogs and people passing by. His energy is calmer, more confident, and less impulsive. Which makes him so much happier as well as us! The trainers spent several hours with us at the end of his board and train to make sure we had all of the skills and understanding necessary to make sure he continues to thrive on this path. You can see how much their family and staff love animals and understand dog psychology and behavior. They are truly wonderful humans, and their dedication, knowledge, and compassion made such a difference for our family!

Jay and Nikki are the best at what they do. Ridgeline K9 has already made a huge difference in our 8 1/2 month old male Newfoundland. Our trainer, Amado, is nothing short of amazing. He did a fantastic job with Navy and me. He absolutely set us up for success and not failure. Everything they do is for the benefit and happiness of the dog. You just have to listen to their guidance and schooling, and then do the owner’s part. I highly recommend using them for the 30 day plan, it is so worth the money for a dog with attention issues. Absolutely fantastic. The training our girl received was amazing, the continuous communication kept us very connected with her training. The videos were a great way to see her progress. The day we went to bring her home when her training was complete, we received an explanation of how she was trained, an understanding of what she needed, and how a dog learns was great. We also received an explanation of how we can improve our communication with her which was extremely helpful in understanding good and bad habits on our side as related. We were also provided hands on training with her by her trainer. We highly recommend!!!!
