My husband and I rescued our sweet Great Dane puppy, Bella, in December. While she is the typical gentle giant, she was growing like a weed and lacked structure in her behavior and general obedience. We found she was a bit reactive to other dogs & people while on a leash, had zero recall (really zero prior training), and when she had her mind set on something, her humans did not exist -- there was no stopping the 100lb puppy. We realized very quickly that she would require a more structured training than we'd find in weekly obedience classes. Enter Ridgeside K9! After spending days researching various training techniques, programs, local trainers, and breed quirks, we called Ridgeside K9. We enrolled Bella in the 3-week Board & Train program, with our biggest hot-buttons being recall, leash manners/reactivity, and socialization (we wanted her to be our go-everywhere dog!). Of course, we were nervous to give up our pup to someone else for three weeks, but we are SO GLAD WE DID. From the moment Trent picked her up, it was abundantly clear that he had her (and our) very best interests at heart and we immediately felt both an overwhelming sense of relief and a wave of confidence in Trent, Bella, and his program. Throughout the 3-week program, Trent sent us daily photos, videos, and was quick to answer any and all questions we had a long the way. We missed her like crazy, so it was really nice to be able to watch her transform from afar. Upon completion of the program, Trent delivered us a brand new dog! Bella was noticeably calmer & better behaved the moment she walked in the door. He spent a solid 4 hours training us, reviewing all she had learned, and how to maintain her training. Post-return, Trent has regularly checked in with us to see how things are going and continues to answer my daily questions. I could on forever about how amazing this has been for Bella and our little family. She listens, she obeys commands, she heels for the entirety of our walks, she sleeps in her own bed (not on top of me!), and yet she is still her derpy, cuddly, loveable self. I can't express strongly enough how grateful we are to Trent and the Ridgeside K9 family. THANK YOU, TRENT! TLDR: Invest in your dog's life with Ridgeside K9!!!!
