We can’t say enough great things about our experience with Jeff! He had our dog, Tucker, for two weeks and the transformation was incredible. Not only did our Tucker come back so engaged and ready for instruction, but Jeff also took the time to ensure we felt confident in handling him at home. He was patient, knowledgeable and truly cared about setting us up for long term success. It’s clear that he’s passionate about what he does and we are so grateful to have him in our corner. We were hesitant in reaching out at first but so glad we did. They have been the most welcoming, understanding, and very personable with us. They want the best for you and your dog. We were on the edge of getting rid of our dog bc of reactive issues but we sent him to work with Aaron Jeter one of the trainers, great guy and great trainer and we’ve gotten our pup under way better control. I was initially reluctant to send our pup Cash off to a training program, largely due to the upfront cost and uncertainty if it would be worth it for a dog who wasn’t aggressive or overly disobedient. I have owned dogs before, read training books, and have been relatively successful in training them on my own, but training takes time and consistency, and unwanted behaviors can become hard to correct if you aren’t diligent from the beginning. I decided to seek professional help, and I’m very glad that I did. I reached out to a few trainers in my area, including one that had been personally recommended by a friend, and had pretty much settled on another place, but decided to give Ridgeside K9 a call. After talking with Jeff for only a few minutes, I was confident that Ridgeside K9 was the right choice. He knew the exact issues that I was having with Cash before I even explained them. “2 year old boxer? Let me guess, pulls hard on the leash, rushes through doorways, surfs your counters, thinks every dog is his best friend and doesn’t introduce himself properly?” BINGO. I decided on the three week board and train program and got the blessing of working with Aaron Jeter! Jeter worked wonders with Cash and provided daily updates on his progress. The results far exceeded my expectations, and Cash returned exactly how Jeter said he would, not as a different dog, but as the same dog less any unwanted behaviors. On the day Cash returned, Jeter provided very thorough instructions on how to use the e collar and trained me on what I needed to do to reinforce the training he received. We rescued our Brittany Spaniel Winston in early October of last year. Two weeks later, we found out he had to have elbow surgery from a congenital condition called IOHC. He was on crate rest for 6 weeks and he would cry in his kennel for hours. I called Ridgeside K9 in need of some major help with some bad habits he had formed (crying in his crate, counter surfing, no leash control, parkour jumping off everything), he had no boundaries. I was nervous to send off my sweet 10 month old pup to training for two weeks but I knew I needed help. Jeff listened to all my wishes and said it was a communication issue we were having with Winston. Jeff updated me everyday with pictures and videos and responded quickly to text messages. I’m so thankful for the training and ability to know how to communicate effectively with Winston. We use all the knowledge and tools daily to work with him and it’s made life so much easier.

We reached out to Ridgeside for training for our Shepard cowboy. He was reactive and very fearful. Could not take him on walks without him barking and lunging at everything in sight. Anything that walked by the house he would bark at. It became very stressful for us. Aaron took him in last minute for the three week board and train and we are so happy with the results. Cowboy now goes on walks and does not bark and is enjoyable to walk. He seems so much more confident. This training really was life changing for us!
