We were cautious about letting our pup go with just anyone. Since the first time Jeff came to our home, I knew that he was the right guy. After he left my son said, dad I trust Mr. Jeff with Aero. Trust is a big deal for us! Aero is a Airedale Terrier and he was rambunctious, but now he's much better. Training is going really well, and Aero is getting better and I can't wait to see him a year from now. Jeff catered to my family's needs and is helping Aero and my son. Review: Life-Changing Training at Ridgeside K9, Nashville Our family— with two small kids (Ace 5 and Avery 7) and a playful Golden Retriever pup named Apple Juice (affectionately called "Juice") — highly recommends Ridgeside K9, Nashville for anyone considering obedience training. Before training, Juice was loving and full energy but had a mind of his own. He didn’t respect boundaries, jumped up on everyone he met, constantly tugged on the leash, and tested our authority at every turn. He was growing fast, over 60 lbs, and with two young kids, we knew we needed professional help to create a safe and structured environment. We were hesitant about having someone else, but us, train Juice. We had bad experiences with trainers for our first Golden. At first, we thought we could do it ourselves, and then the world turned upside down. Our daughter Avery was diagnosed and hospitalized with Type 1 Diabetes at Christmas. All of our priorities and energy now turned to her and her treatment. We had to find another solution to create a safe and strucutured home that didn't require so much time to care for and correct Juices behavior. Thankfully, internet searches led us to Ridgeside K9, but there are many other companies out there....so how do you choose? We called them all and thankfully spoke to an angel at Ridgeside K9, Judy Barth who was immmediately helpful. This lady is amazing and fully understood our situation. Her empathy, knowledge and patience were by far more helpful than anyother organization we spoke to. She hung in there while we made our decision. We spoke to many of her references, and each consistently sung the praises of their trainer, Jeff, and Judy. The references were the key. They told us their personal stories, and it made all the difference in choosing Ridgeside K9, Nashville, and Jeff who is the owner/trainer. It was high priority for us to meet with Jeff, before deciding. References told us he was quite willing to make a house visit and meet the family to understand what help they needed. From the moment we met Jeff, he put us at ease. He immediately bonded with our kids and with Juice, making the entire process reasssuring for our whole family. He understood exactly what we needed to do—not just to train Juice, but to work together as a family. Jeff tailored the training to Juice’s personality, helping Juice understand boundaries while still keeping his loving and caring spirit. Jeff's knowledge and expertise were evident. The transformation of Juice's bejhavior has been incredible. Juice is now much more obedient. He listens to our commands, is no longer jumping on people and no longer pulls on the leash. Our walks are so enjoyable now. One of the biggest changes is that he no longer runs away—he stays close and pays attention to commands. His behavior is much more manageable, and he's still loving, sensitive and caring. Training has really built confidence in Juice and for us. What truly sets Ridgeside K9 and Jeff apart from othere is their commitment to sustainable training. From the beginning Jeff has personalized the training for us. He sent us video clips and pics of Juice's training, so we were engaged in his training and still felt close to Juice. The handoff to us after training was so important, and Jeff spent as much time with us as we neeeded to know how to contiinue Juice's training. Jeff texted us almost daily to checkin to see how we're/Juice is doing? That's unique! Ridgeside K9 (Jeff) is amazing. They don't just train dogs; they strengthen the bond between dogs and their families. Jeff has become so close to us throughout this process, and his ongoing support has made all the difference. We needed help with our high-drive, high-energy doberman (Thanos), and working with Ridgeside K9 was the best decision we made.
