Ridgeside K9 Ohio

We brought our Bernese Mountain Dog puppy to K9 Ridgeside and it made such a huge difference for all of us. We did the two week board and train program and Bear’s trainer was Julie. I can say enough about Julie and how great she was with Bear. She sent us videos, photos, and messages daily. This was so helpful, as we knew what he was working on the entire time and how to help at home. The going home lesson with all of us in the household was also extremely helpful. My kids love reminding me of the lesson when I’m doing something against Julie’s advice! 😂 The BEST part of the training is his leash walking. He is PERFECT on walks and it’s so enjoyable to walk him now. The automatic sitting when we stop, attention to me instead of everything around us, and loose leash walking at my side is awesome. Everyone we see in the neighborhood comments on his behavior. We will be back for refreshers!

We sent our doodle, Tucker, to the 2-week board and train program at Ridgeside K9 Ohio, and the results are absolutely amazing! Before the program, Tucker was constantly pulling us around on the leash. Our trainer, Julie Shaffer, completely transformed him in just two short weeks. He is now so much more calm, walks beautifully, sits quietly when asked, and listens instantly to his off-leash recall commands.We especially loved that Julie focused heavily on practical, daily behavior and essential life skills. What we appreciate most is that Tucker did not lose his personality at all—he was wagging his tail and looking incredibly happy throughout the process. If you need a trainer who delivers real results while keeping your dog happy, we cannot recommend Julie and Ridgeside K9 Ohio enough!

I would highly recommend Ridgeside K9! We enrolled our young Australian Shepherd Archie in the two week board and train program. Archie was very anxious around people (especially women) and new environments. He was also struggling with separation anxiety. Our trainer was Julie and she was incredible with Archie! She quickly developed a relationship with him and helped him build the confidence he needed to overcome his anxiety. The e-collar training has completely changed any unwanted behaviors and Archie is calmer, happier, and mentally stimulated! He comes when called, any unwelcome barking is under control, and he follows all basic commands. Julie was an excellent trainer, both for our dog, and for us! She truly cares and takes her time to explain everything and work with your family and your dog to make you feel comfortable continuing the training at home. The whole team at Ridgeside was wonderful throughout the whole process! 100% worth it!!!
