Ridgeside K9 Ohio

Years ago I looked into Ridgeside K9 for my tiny dog, Willow, that loved to bolt through open doors, bark incessantly at cars on our rural lane, and other frustrating behaviors. Ultimately I decided that I didn’t want to spend the money. I’d have to live with the crazy. Literally. Five years later I decided a fresh start with a new breed was in order (while still living with the crazy dog). A golden retriever with all of the energy and misdirection of a 1 year old inconsistently trained dog that didn’t enjoy Willow’s brand of crazy. We had gone from living with the crazy to living with utter chaos. In walks Allie from Ridgeside K9 with her invisible cape waving proudly behind her. In two weeks, Carlo went from dragging me on every walk, ignoring almost all of my commands with just the slightest distraction, and destroying furniture, clothing, and sometimes trying to nibble my children to a dog that now is living his best life right next to me, where ever I go! Then it was Willow’s turn. Allie took a 6 year old, tiny, and epically neurotic ball of fluff and taught that old dog some new tricks! The very best part is that my dogs are finally cohabiting like roommates in a freshman dorm! Maybe not besties but respectful of boundaries and okay with sharing space and human friends. My home is finally as peaceful as it’s ever been! Thank you Allie! Thank you Ridgeside K9! Amazing work that is worth every single dollar!

Nothing but GREAT things to say about Ridgeside K9. I want to give a special shout out to Heather, who took our dog for three weeks and completely answered the call on all of which we were wanting to get out of this. Heather was very responsive, providing daily updates and progress videos. It was very relieving to know our dog was being very well taken care of by someone in Heather, who clearly has a huge love for dogs. Very polite and intentional in her training and coaching us on our dog's future development. Ridgeside has an awesome facility, and I would suggest them to everybody who is considering dog training. 10/10 - Five Stars!! Thank you very much Heather and team!!

My two year old German Shepherd Tango recently completed a two week board and train with Eric from Ridgeside K9 Ohio. Once I saw how impressive the Ridgeside K9 facility and its staff were during drop off, I knew my boy was in the best hands possible. I can’t say enough amazing things about Tango’s trainer Eric. I was kept up to date on Tango’s progress every single day through pictures and videos. He answered any questions I had and explained things to me so that I could actually understand. Eric is so knowledgeable on everything dog related and I’m thankful for him helping to repair the communication issues between myself and Tango. After the two week training was complete, Eric spent multiple hours training me on everything Tango learned. Tango and I have been working hard at home training every single day since. For the first time in two years, my cats can be in the same room as Tango without being terrified. He no longer jumps up on anyone that walks into our house. Place is our new best friend and walks are so much more enjoyable. I’m blown away by the results I’ve seen and our relationship has never been better! I highly recommend Ridgeside K9 Ohio, especially Eric Stanbro. My only regret is not doing this board and train sooner!

This might be a long one, but a good one! We sent our Saint Bernard Apollo, who we adopted at the age of 2, to the 3 week board and train program with Eric. He had a lot of anxiety, very low confidence, could not do stairs at all, jump in the car, and (our fault by mistake) was very overweight. Apollo came home with not one of these issues. He has so much confidence, he pants WAY less (all things considered for the breed), he can do all of the stairs in our split level, and does so willingly now! My 4 kids ranging from 6-13 can walk him with their thumb through the leash. We had tried to teach him commands in the 4 months we had him before training and he responded to non of them. He now responds to them. He is all around a whole new boy and seems to be a much happier one too! I cannot thank Eric and everyone else at Ridgeside enough for what they did for him. The communication was also really really amazing. We were given daily updates that included pictures and videos.
