Ridgeside K9 Ohio

My 78lb 15 month old chocolate lab Tonka is doing wonderful! Our walks are so pleasurable now - only had to use tone a couple of times when he looked like he wanted to lick snow, etc. He stays by my side and responds when I pull slightly to get him back on track - he is no longer pulling me down the street. He is doing great with place and only had 2 or 3 times where he left without command and responded immediately to redirection. I actually took a 30 minute nap while he was on place in same room! He does great with sitting at doors/gates and waiting for command to go. I could not be happier! I will gladly and highly recommend your program! Tonka and I are both happier- he's calmer and looks to me for direction and I finally feel in control!

Amazing experience with Ridgeside!! We brought our 1.5-year-old German Shepherd to work on confidence, obedience, and reactivity, and we noticed positive changes within the first week just from the photos and videos they sent. By the time we picked him up after three weeks, the transformation was incredible—he was calmer, more focused, and so much more confident. The first night home we noticed so much change already. Allie, our trainer, was amazing. She kept us updated the entire time, explained everything clearly, and answered every question we had without hesitation. You can tell she truly cares about the dogs and the owners she works with. The facility itself is super clean, organized, and clearly well-run. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, professional, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Overall, Ridgeside gave us an outstanding experience, and we couldn’t be happier with how our dog came home. I would highly recommend Ridgeside for dog training !!

Ridgeside K9 is an excellent dog training facility. From the first interaction, it’s clear the trainers truly care about both the dogs and their owners. Their approach is professional, structured, and tailored to each dog rather than one-size-fits-all, and the results speak for themselves. We saw major improvements in obedience, confidence, and overall behavior. They also do an excellent job educating owners so the training can continue at home long-term. Knowledgeable, professional dog trainers! We have 3 dogs with a variety of different behavioral concerns (from separation anxiety, inter household dog fights, guarding , window barking and just needing some more solid general obedience commands.) We decided to do the behavior modification training at Ridgeside K9 Ohio for all 3 dogs. The improvements we have made with Ridgeside’s training have been life changing. They pinpointed our dog’s behaviors, saw things within our household dynamic that we had totally missed and gave us the tools / training needed to make some lifelong changes. The window barking stopped almost immediately, obedience is drastically improved (and we now have the tools to keep working on this), the dogs all seem so much happier (and the fights have stopped). As a bonus we have also started to make some progress towards off leash recall! They really helped us to get all of our dogs to a better place so we could start having fun with them again! It’s clear that K9 Ridgeside knows dogs and understands correcting behaviors. Best decision we made for our dogs!
