Right Way K9 Training

Matt initially worked with our 8 year old Labrador Maggie. Maggie is a rescue who had a tough life and is scared of going outside most of the time. After being spooked by Fourth of July fireworks, it was impossible to get her to go on walks again. We were referred to Matt whose approach and technique helped Maggie be able to confidently walk outside once again — improving her overall quality of life. As soon as Maggie’s training wrapped, we knew we needed Matt’s help with our rambunctious 9 month old Labrador puppy Lacey. Matts methodical approach helped us to take control of this pup’s bad behavior. We followed his advice and worked daily to reenforce the training techniques we learned at each session — for both the dog and us! With lots of practice, we saw Lacey quickly learn the intended behaviors we were teaching her. While we’ve seen a significant improvement, the work is ongoing to make sure she maintains these behaviors. It’s a big commitment, but if you put in the time and work - it will be worth your while! We are so thankful to Matt for all he’s taught us and highly recommend him for your dog training needs.

We were at our wits end when Matt was referred to us. Coco was an out of control, rambunctious 8 month old Bernese that had brought me close to the decision that she would have to be re-homed. Three months later she is a happy, calm pup and a real joy to be around. Little did I know that most of the training was for me, and not for her! I can’t say enough good about the training that Matt gives. I recommend him to owners of all breeds…a real pro!

Matt is a dog whisperer. It took me a while to book him for training because I was delaying and making excuses for my dog's behavior (she's just a puppy, she will grow out of it, etc...) Hiring Matt is the smartest decision we've made for our dog's and our family's future. My dog Gemma is calm, a great listener, and works hard to please us. It takes daily work to have a trained dog. Matt worked with Gemma 1 hour a week. The rest of the week was up to us. Matt was very clear in his training and took time explaining the whole process.
