If you are looking for a top notch trainer, with extensive knowledge, give Matt a try. I hired Matt after purchasing a 10 mo aussie end of May from a breeder. Gypsy had been rehomed - i was her 4th home which i did not know when purchasing-Gypsy had many health issues, was extremely unsocialized along with many many other issues-I actually thought I made a huge mistake and thought there was no hope for her. I hired Matt through a referral and have never looked back gypsy, will now walk on a leash is comfortable around other people and dogs, is in the process of doing off leash walking, obeys all commands bed stays, and actually is learning to trust people. She has come so far, and I am so pleased with where she is at in just a matter of months I have had dogs my entire life, and had never had a dog with as many issues as gypsy and I cannot praise Matt enough for how this dog has had a complete turnaround . We still have a long way to go. However, I would highly recommend Matt if you are looking for an experienced trainer.

Matt is a talented, knowledgeable, and experienced master dog trainer. Our German shepherd pup, at seven months old, was a wild thing. She would bolt out the door, pull excessively on the leash, run off chasing squirrels and not consistently come when called. Even with standard group dog training classes, she would not listen. After hearing our concerns and setting our dog training goals with Matt, we cannot believe how quickly everything turned around. Matt’s instruction centers on truly positive learning opportunities. Each session effectively focused on a hierarchy of skills, which were based on our pup's level of functioning. At the end of every lesson, Matt clarified the specific 15 minutes of daily training for us to practice with our dog. He was available for any of our questions or concerns. Matt is the dog trainer who can help you achieve the trained dog of your dreams. The change in our German Shepherd is nothing short of remarkable. We have a happy, confident and exceptionally well trained German Shepherd thanks to Matt. He was there for us every step of the way.

Matt is not only an amazing dog trainer but an amazing person! My 18 month old, 175 lbs Saint Bernard, Loki, quickly realized he could use his size against me to get whatever he wanted. Whether it be food, leading and dictating walks or pulling me down the street to get to another dog due to extreme dog reactivity. Matt first off opened my eyes to the root of the issues, that as an owner it's my responsibility to make my dog feel safe, secure, and that I could communicate and advocate for him when needed, and from there we took off. I was extremely skeptical of e-collar and prong collar training because of the negative stereotype around these extremely HELPFUL training devices. Matt taught both myself and Loki that if used properly these tools can be awesome, especially for a tank like Loki. I could go on and on about all of the wonderful things Matt tought us both, but all I'll say if you're looking for a dog trainer who wants nothing but the best for your dog and yourself, this is your sign and Matt is your guy.
