Right Way K9 Training

We had a great experience working with Matt! I reached out to Matt to help with training our dog, Votto, to be a therapy dog for my office. Matt did a great job getting Votto prepared not only for the office but also helped with some nuisance behaviors we were accidentally reinforcing at home and on walks. As an added bonus, Votto loved his training visits and we could tell Matt genuinely loves dogs and is passionate about his work!

I couldn’t be happier with Right Way K 9 Training and Matt. When we started Molly had high anxiety and was fighting with the other dog in the house. She had anxiety when people came to the door, going through drive thru windows and barked at everything. Matt has changed not only her life but mine as well. He trained me on how to lower her anxiety and through his training I now have a different dog. Molly is a lot calmer and no longer fights with the other dog in the house. Drive thru windows are a calm environment. We are continuing to work on people coming to the door but things are so much easier than they have been in the past. Molly will continue with the daycare to keep her socialized with other dogs and continued training. I would recommend Matt to anyone that is in need of a great trainer.

I brought my dog, Rudy, to Matt @ Right Way K9 Training because he, Rudy, had some serious anxiety issues. I adopted Rudy when he was 9 months old and until that point, he'd lived in a least two shelters so seems to have missed out on some key developmental experiences. His anxiety showed up in several ways but I'll just give one example here - he was terrified of children. He would try to bolt if he even heard the sound of a child. Small groups of people and lots of cars had the same effect which made long walks challenging. I signed up for Matt's 10 individual training sessions and can easily say it was one of the best investments I could have made! Matt is incredibly knowledgeable about dog mental health and has built his work around creating optimal mental health conditions. Before I started the training, walks were stressful and required a lot of strength on my part to deal with Rudy frequently trying to run away. Now, Rudy trots along right next to me, slows down when I slow down, stops when I stop, and does not ever try to bolt even when he hears happy children. Trust Matt with your dog and do what he says! You will see results quickly!
