We're thrilled with the incredible progress our wire-haired dachshund, Dexter, made after spending three weeks in boarding training with Alex. Given their reputation for stubbornness, our expectations were modest, but the results have far exceeded our dreams. Dexter has transformed into a calm, obedient, and self-assured companion. Alex's dedication, consistency, and genuine passion for dogs have been instrumental in achieving this remarkable turnaround. Riverview Bark is amazing and we highly recommend it for anyone who is looking for a trainer. We have done private training and day academy for our 10 month old golden doodle- Harvey. With private training we got one on one sessions with Alex where he would go over the basic commands and address any issues we were having with our pup. We definitely saw big improvements and got our puppy easily potty trained with the schedule Alex created for us. After our private sessions were done we decided to enroll Harvey in day academy to help build his confidence, socialize him and improve his leash manners. Every week we have seen Harvey improving and becoming more confident in situations that would've scared him. He’s walking next to us instead of pulling us all over the place! Alex is very passionate about what he does and is more than willing to help. Even post private training we would feel comfortable to reach out to him regarding any issue. He in fact encourages us to send him videos and FaceTime him of any issues we have which just shows that’s he’s willing to go the extra mile to make sure our pup gets trained properly. 10/10 would highly recommend, don’t look anywhere else.

Working with Alex has seriously been life-changing for us and our dog, Willis. We’re first-time pet owners with a 1.5 year old, 90 pound Rhodesian Ridgeback who was easily over-stimulated, and we could see him becoming less confident and more reactive. At home, Willis was constantly jumping and nipping at us for attention. On walks, he would pull and jump towards other people and dogs, which became more difficult as he got bigger and stronger. We did several private trainings with Alex and it’s been amazing to see the progress after a few months. Alex is very patient, clear and direct. He not only helped us with obedience, leash training and introducing Willis to different environments, but also helped us strengthen our relationship with Willis. Willis is a much more confident, relaxed and happy dog as a result! We now send Willis to daycare at Riverview Bark several days a week. We love that they provide proper socialization and training! Willis actually comes home more well-behaved after spending time there. When Willis first started there, he was easily over excited and struggled with boundaries. Alex worked with him and it brings us so much joy now to see Willis peacefully co-existing and playing with other dogs. Alex truly cares about the dogs; he gives us a report when we pick Willis up and is always willing to spend extra time answering our questions and offering training advice. We are so grateful to Riverview Bark and cannot recommend them highly enough!!
