Preston and Rocky are great to train with! I love the positive reinforcement approach Preston uses to train. No pinch or shock collars. No is not in his vocabulary. Preston is very knowledgeable, professional, kind and patient! He gives a positive, safe space to dogs to learn new behaviors. We love training with them! Plus he's associated with AKC so you can work towards certifications if you wish. AND Rocky has over 800 volunteer hours in as a therapy dog which is amazing! I'm so grateful we found Preston, Rock Solid Training!

Working with this Preston has changed the way I understand and communicate with my dog. What stood out most is that he didn’t just train my dog—he trained me. I learned how to read my dog better, communicate more clearly, and build a stronger relationship with her. Preston wasn't afraid to tell me I needed to be patient with her. My dog is more confident (i am, too), and that was very important to me. She was very shy. She is now a certified canine good citizen and working her way to be a therapy dog. Highly recommend to anyone who wants more than just obedience training—you’ll walk away with a deeper understanding and connection to your dog

My husband and I can’t thank Rock Solid Dog Training and Preston enough for the role they played in the training of our goldendoodle puppy. We did all of the basic obedience classes and the Canine Good Citizen class with Preston. Our dog Medora learned so much through these classes and we learned so much on how to communicate and train her. Our relationship with her has been so much better since seeking out training. She is less reactive in greeting people, she now allows me to fully Dremel her nails, she knows many basic obedience commands (i.e. touch, sit, come, stay, wait, down, off, etc.), can engage in some of the basic commands with us solely using hand signals, and our relationship with her has flourished as she now views us as her leader. We highly highly recommend that you consider them for your training needs! Preston is so knowledgeable and patient with the pups and he truly gave us the tools we needed in our toolkit to train our dog. Highly recommend!
