We were at our wits end with our stubborn Boykin Spaniel. He refused to obey even the simplest commands and seemed determined to do everything on his own terms. Walks were frustrating and getting him to listen felt impossible. After completing the training program, he came back like a completely new dog. He is attentive and responsive - not only does he follow commands, but he is also much calmer and more enjoyable to be around. The training gave us the tools to continue reinforcing his good behavior at home, and the difference has been life changing for both us and our dog. Scott Keown, the trainer, was very personable and did an excellent job of explaining how to continue reinforcing our dog’s training at home - he even messaged us after returning home and encouraged us to text him with any future issues. I took my 4 month old English springer puppy to Scott for the one month puppy obedience program. I just picked her up yesterday and have already noticed an extreme difference. She is still very much the same energetic puppy with all of the personality that I dropped off to Scott but is now able to respond to basic commands without hesitation. Scott taught her to heel, sit, go to her kennel, place, and walk on a leash properly. Rosemary (puppy) is extremely smart as well as hard headed so when I take the training collar off, I do notice a difference in her obedience. Scott walked me through how to continue her training at home and has been in contact since I picked her up to check in how she has been. I would definitely recommend him if you have a dog in need of training especially if they are one of the more energetic/ hunting breeds.
