Training is simple, but it’s not easy, and that’s why our mission is to give guidance to owners everywhere using a results driven and balanced approach since 2013.
Everything we do begins with foundation training! While introducing your dog to new commands we know the importance of using primarily positive reinforcement to make sure we are creating confidence, focus, motivation and clear communication.
Once you have established your new relationship, we use training collars (e-collars) to test our training in any environment. We find value in applying mental and physical exercise to this process to make sure your dog maintains a relaxed state of mind around distractions. We are about working smarter, not harder!

Great team of super caring people. The daily videos and constant checking helped us to feel like we were there training with her. Real training in real places with lots of love along the way. Highly recommend this company to any and all trying to raise a well behaved and happy pup.

Cannot say enough positive things about our experience with Ruff Rules, specifically Board and Train with Eva. The care, focus, diligence, love and patience Eva gives to her B&T dogs is beyond words. Our 9 month old Anerican Lab went in knowing basic commands, but had trouble with holding those commands and being accountable without treats, pulling on walks, stealing items around the house (sometimes dangerous) for games of chase, nipping to play and the inability to relax outside the home. After the 2.5 weeks with Eva, our pup was able to accomplish it all. Its incredible how this short program completely changed the mindset of our dog in the best possible way, with all her quirks and love still there. Ruff Rules also goes above and beyond making sure you are as much trained as your pup because we all know consistency is key. Even after the B&T Eva and Keely are so open for your questions and recommendations and the group classes are so amazing to brush up skills and get even more practice and time. We went in feeling the stress of owning a dog and now its so fun because she trusts us and we trust her with all the adventures from basic walks to free time in a park to hanging out at a coffee shop or brewery. Ruff Rules helped our pup become the best version of herself and we will forever be so grateful.

We had the best experience working with Ruff Rules and our incredible trainer, Eva! Our dog Charlie stayed for two and a half weeks of in-house training, and the transformation has been unbelievable. Eva is patient, professional, and truly understands dog behavior on a deep level. She kept us updated throughout his stay and made us feel completely at ease knowing he was in great hands.
When Charlie came home, he was a new dog—in the best way! He listens beautifully, responds to commands, and is so much more confident. Eva tailored every lesson to his personality and our family’s needs, and she taught us how to maintain everything he learned.
If you’re looking for a trainer who genuinely cares and delivers real results, Eva at Ruff Rules is the best of the best. Highly recommend!

Our lives would not be the same without Ruff Rules!! It’s COMPLETELY worth the investment. Our trainer was Serena. We did the 7 weekly in-home courses. She was reliable and taught us so much! A well trained dog is a LOVED dog. Life is so much more enjoyable 💗
