Ruff Rules

Sydney Gibbs really took the time to instill her training methods with our toy poodle. She taught us everything we needed to do with our puppy, and it has made a world of difference in her attitude. She went from being a very cute yappy crybaby, to an even cuter well behaved pup. Sydney was also very patient and friendly with our puppy. We are very happy with everything Sydney did for us, and we will definitely be going back to ruff rules in the future if needed.

I cannot say enough great things about Serena from RuffRules! She worked with Bailey and was absolutely incredible from start to finish. Every single day, she showed up with a beautiful smile and a calm, confident energy that Bailey immediately responded to. Serena trained B in a variety of real-world environments, outside, at Holiday park, on Las Olas, and even at the beach. She helped him master essential skills like walking calmly on and off leash, staying focused around distractions, and following “stay” commands with consistency and confidence. Bailey made amazing progress, and I feel so much more connected and in control thanks to Serena’s guidance. Her dedication, patience, and genuine love for dogs shine through in everything she does. She’s kind, and truly gifted with dogs, I couldn’t recommend Serena more highly.

Wow, where do I even begin to describe how incredible our experience was with Ruff Rules?!? We came to Keely after a heartbreaking experience with a rescue doodle who suffered from extreme anxiety. Tragically, that dog ran off in fear during a walk and never returned. After that, our family made a promise: the next dog we welcomed into our home would be properly trained to confidently handle any situation. My son had been following Ruff Rules on Instagram and instinctively knew this was the right place for Izzy, our new golden retriever puppy. He spoke with Keely and signed us up for her three-week board-and-train program at her home. Leaving your puppy with someone for three weeks is tough, but Keely made it easy. She sent daily videos, photos, and Instagram stories that showed us just how well Izzy was doing. From the very first video, we could see real improvement, and with each day, Izzy’s confidence and skills grew noticeably. By the end of the second week, Keely invited us to visit and work hands-on with Izzy, giving us a preview of all she had learned. With all the field trips to parks, coffee shops, beaches, and even golf cart rides, we joked that Izzy might not want to come home! Keely returned Izzy to us a few days ago and spent a generous amount of time reviewing everything she had learned and making sure we felt fully prepared to continue her training at home. I can honestly say this was the best decision we ever made for our pup. Izzy is now a well-behaved, confident, happy dog. She holds her place command, walks in a perfect heel, comes when called (even off-leash) and no longer counter surfs. We are beyond grateful to Keely and Ruff Rules. There’s a big difference between having a good dog and having a well-trained one, and thanks to Keely, we have both.

We cannot recommend Serena from Ruff Rules enough. We began with an initial in home training session when Oakley was just 4 months old, and from the second Serena walked in, Oakley loved her—and honestly, so did we. She listened to everything we were hoping for and gave us great guidance and commands to work on before the three week program began. Thanks to her, Oakley had a solid foundation and already knew sit, paw, down, stay, “yes” work, etc. When Oakley was old enough to start the daily in-home program, Serena came to our house, outlined the next steps, and always made sure we were caught up and comfortable with everything. Even after just the first week, we saw huge changes: no more jumping on people, consistent command response without needing a treat, improved house and car manners, etc. For our final session, we went to the beach and got to watch our happy, confident pup roam completely off leash. Oakley listened to every command while still getting to enjoy her freedom which is all thanks to Serena. Her love for training is crystal clear and not only do the results speak for themselves, but she’s also just an incredibly kind and genuine person. We couldn’t recommend Ruff Rules more, but especially Serena. Oakley is going to miss her and so are we!
