Sadie's Rules K9 Training

We sent our 11-pound dachshund to Sadie's Rules not because he was unmanageable or causing too much difficulty. It's pretty easy to control a little dog, and after Private Puppy Lessons with McKayla and Jess, he was a good on-leash walking companion and usually came when we called (unless there was something better going on). Still, life with Fibber McGee is so much more fun & relaxing now. During his off-leash time on our morning walks, he tears across the golf course (and sometimes the sand traps - don't tell the golf maintenance staff) and hides in the rough to surprise me. He's very proud of his "downs" and runs for a congratulatory pet when asked to come (even if there is a rabbit in the vicinity). During our evening TV time, he happily takes his "place," and doesn't demand attention during the most gripping scenes. We are so grateful to the team at Sadie's Rules for getting him on the right track - He will have a lifetime of happy adventures that he would not have had without them!

I cannot give Jess, Nikki, McKayla, and the staff at Sadie’s Rules K9 Training enough thanks and praise for their incredible work. Our dog, Grace, graduated from their Puppy Program and returned shortly before her first birthday for more extensive training. And the timing could not have been better! Grace is a Goldendoodle who is equal parts intelligent and anxious, which can be tricky. We noticed that the tactics we learned when she was a puppy did not have the desired effect now that she was older. Walking Grace was a challenge, as she was preoccupied and scared of any unknown person or noise. This anxiety was also noted within the house; she would break her “place” to follow someone around for security. Our communication skills were off, and we did not know how to help Grace out of this cycle. Enter Jess and the crew at Sadie’s Rules K9 Training! After four amazing weeks for her board and train and two incredibly beneficial lessons for our family, Grace is home and noticeably happier and calmer. It is a relief to know that we all have the necessary tools to communicate with our dog to make sure she is not just happy but safe. After one of our go-home lessons with McKayla, my family had a long conversation about how to help Grace be her “best self.” It is a message that we share with visiting family, friends, and neighbors. We are here to help Grace rebuild her trust with us—- and we can do that by advocating for her well-being, sense of safety, and security while building her confidence. Thank you for not just helping Grace but helping our family as well!

Jessica and Sadie's rules transformed our dog's and family's lives. Last year at this time taking our dog for a walk or spending time with her was very stressful and unenjoyable. It was impacting our lives and well-being. Our answer was to exhaust our anxious girl to the point that all she wanted to do was to lay down and chill. After her time at Sadie's she returned a confident, gentle, and well-behaved dog. Now, when we go on walks - they are pleasant and something we look forward to. When we go outside to play - they are pleasant. If she grabs a shoe or toy we simply say "out" and the issue is over. If we are in a crowd of people we are the ones with an obedient and kind dog and not avoiding people, squirrels, or other dogs. Thank you, Sadie's! Marley is her best self and a true family member!

Both my children have a dog. One is a pit bull mix with abandonment (age 3) issues and the other a black lab mix that is hyper (age 1). I've sent both for training within the past six months. It takes work after they come back, but if you keep after it, they are so much happier and easier interact with. Both now are happy to lay in place, greet people/pets properly, and walk/play outside (many times without a leash). I'm very impressed with the results achieved in 4 weeks and the many things we can now do that were either impossible or chores before - and the fact that the dogs are happy and less stressed.
