FirstBarkKen doesn't make you feel like you have been bad, just because you need help. The difference in my dog in just a couple of lessons is truly amazing. She just needed an outlet, she needed to know what I wanted, and I needed to know how to tell her what I need. We are going to keep going! He is easy going, and his calm demeanor really helps my dog.

is there any cheaper trainer? 1000 is rediculous.
You wanting to send your dog to them, or is this for you and the dog as a team? Either way good training from an extremely good reputable trainer isn't cheap. There's a big difference between going to Petsmart for dog training and going to a professional. That is not an unreasonable amount for a professional.

Reading others' feedback and being really new to this trainer, I have to say I am excited to learn from them! All reviews but one have been good - and the one bad review was from someone who hadn't trained with them - they said the trainers did not reply to email. I had the same experience, but as soon as I called them all was well. It seems they are more of "phone people" is all. :)

I have been training with Ken and Lynn for about a year. I adopted a German Shepherd mix who was emotionally very damaged. She was scaring me with her fear aggression toward people. I brought Luna out for Ken to assess, and he told me she wasn't ready to join group classes yet. He gave me my homework (yep, you the person have to do the work!). After about 3-4 weeks of working with her she was ready to start classes. Fast forward a year and I am so proud of my girl! She is excellent at obedience and is continuing to gain confidence and come out of her shell. If you're serious about making your dog the best it can be the Schillings will show you how!
They know their stuff. It's amazing what they can do with a dog.

Best dog trainer I've ever worked with. Ken is calm, quiet and has a keen understanding of dogs that could only be achieved from years of experience. Ken is not your Pet Smart trainer who took a 6 week class...he is an experienced professional. He was also able to work with me and teach me what I needed to know....which is really what it's all about. No matter how hard a trainer works with your dog-- if you can't follow through, it's not going to work. I appreciate all the patience Ken showed me. Now my dog and I can have a happy future together.
