Todd provides all the tools and guidance you need to build a stronger, more confident relationship with your pup. He is incredibly patient, reassuring, and accessible—both during and in between sessions. I found him to be extremely communicative and a great listener, which helped in curating a personalized experience for us. I feel that Todd genuinely cares about getting to know my pup and that personal investment is exactly why you should consider booking him. Beyond training, it’s clear he knows the area well and has strong relationships within the community. He was an invaluable resource for local recommendations and this helped us to confidently experience new places.

We have a 1.5 year old boxer and a 4 month old doberman mix. We reached out to Todd at Serenity for help with basic training and leash walking. We've never worked with a trainer before and let me tell you, it was an amazing experience. We were actually the ones being trained in a lot of ways. Learning different commands and patience along the way. He gives you the skills you need to be successful and was always able to address any questions and concerns we had. We opted for the full 6 week program and are very happy with the results. Todd was very kind and personable. The dogs absolutely loved him. Our cats gravitated to him as well. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and caring trainer. He said we can always reach out in the future for anything we need or if we have follow-up questions. Working with Todd is such a joy! Todd is extremely knowledgeable, personable, thorough, and gets results—from all members of the pack. From the moment we reached out to Todd, we knew he was the expert for our pack. He listened closely to what we needed and brainstormed great plans for our family, never shying away from emphasizing how important it was to speak Ruby’s language and get all two-legged pack members on the same page so that we could all coexist harmoniously. His approach sold us and we set our schedule. When Todd first arrived, he made fast friends with Ruby, and with us too! We immensely enjoyed watching him interact with Ruby, and we also appreciated his company and conversation. Training with Todd was not just another task to check off the to-do list; it was always a fun activity that we looked forward to each week. Weekly, we all made improvements as a pack. Ruby understood what was expected as a member of our pack, and we understood how to bark to her in her language. Every week we learned new basic skills that we practiced daily before adding to the trainings the next week. As an added tail wag, Todd also brought in toys for Ruby to play with each week, which was always a super highlight for her and for us! In addition to the wonderful weekly training visits and toys and rascal-romp sessions, Todd always shared his wealth of knowledge with us that we employed in our interactions with Ruby. Everything Todd taught us worked, and it worked quickly and efficiently. Finally, we were coming up on the final session and I was beyond anxious over Ruby going to a dog park. We were also hesitant to allow her to meet dogs on the street while walking. We had expressed to Todd that our last K9 companion, Sampson, passed away after 14 marvelous years. During those years, he was attacked on three separate occasions by three different dogs, and quite frankly, we had been traumatized by the experiences. While Todd understood and never pushed, he gently encouraged us to try to look at the situation for what it was—a new adventure with a new rescue dog, and he was so right. Seeing Ruby romp in the dog park was exhilarating. With Todd’s guidance, we have learned how to be mindful, conscientious leaders of the pack, and Ruby has learned what is expected of pack members and all of us are better off because of it. We simply cannot recommend Todd with anything other than the highest of accolades and praise. He is simply marvelous and astonishing at what he does!

Our training with Serenity Dog Training far surpassed our expectations! Working with Todd for intermediate training was such a great experience! Todd has so much knowledge about dogs that was extremely helpful to learn about as first time dog owners. Todd has the best personality and after only a short 6 weeks of working with him, he quickly became a part of our family! We learned SO much in 6 weeks, but we never felt like things moved too fast either. We are eager to start advanced training soon and can’t wait to work with Todd again!
